Sedo Now Pays on the 13th??? SedoSucks

SpaceshipSpaceship
Watch
Payments used to come in on the 9th or 10th. Did they think we would not notice? How stupid.

Have you guys noticed that SedoSucks takes every little advantage they can?

They have the highest rev. share of any parking company, but they treat domainers like crap.

--Paying later now
--Many links to their services at the bottom of every parked page (and we don't get a commission of any of those sales either :alien:
--Domain transfer problems
--Domain Sales problems
--Bad Customer Service

etc.......

notice this:

Payments will be made on or about 15 business days after the end of each calendar month for all commissions earned...

which is ~net15. so they've gone from paying you 6 days early to 2 days early. :'(

I'm not talking about a $500 or $5,000 payout. When payouts are as big as mine it does matter. How much interest do you think they collect instead of me collecting it in my bank account? Maybe it's my German blood, but I expect them to do things orderly and properly. I have no tolerance for monkeying around with my money.

Look...... it doesn't matter what the TOS says...... they have been doing it this way for years and years, and now they changed it. I have been getting paid before the 10th since 2002.

Against their TOS? No. But it does nothing to make me a fan when everyone else pays out before the 10th, or twice a month, but now sit on MY money for several more days to collect interest.

F them. I pull in big dollars for them on pure, high-quality generics, and they treat me like sh_t. I put them in the same category as NetSol.

I'm sending the rest of my domains to Parked or Fabulous.

So you don't care when you get your money? That is stupid business.

Please guide me to these links!

The links are at the bottom of all parked pages now, and have been for awhile. They are frosted so as not to take away from the links, and I assume, to not piss us off too much.

Either way, we get nothing from the sales Sedo makes from these.

Here are the links, but they run left right, not vertical.

* Buy Domains
* | Sell Domains
* | Premium Domains
* | Domain Appraisal
* | Domain Names for Sale
* | Domain Parking
* | Domain Transfer
* | Domain Auction
* | Domain Name

I don't see any "Sedo Services" links on my domains.

I think you mean your domain "related links" .. In this case, you can turn it off.

No... it won't.... it only makes them richer and me poorer since those days I am cut (not two days, try four or five) out of the interest I would have earned.

That interest has now been effectively transferred to them.

RIght on the money here.

Honestly, i think you need to let this stuff go, or should've already. First of all, sedo is a big powerhouse in domaining. Your forces are way weaker than theirs anyday, so the economic forces favor them. THem changing their payout day? they own you in this because if you don't want their pay, then move on, there are other customers filing up right behind you- more demand than supply is great for suppliers(same thing with sedo and you)To even try and withdraw your domain names or their traffic etc. mainly because of their payout date to me sounds naive. I think it just looks like a necessary evil. They are not gonna change their decision(thats why they made it in the first place), and thats how things are going to be, so i hope u handle it well and adjust accordingly.

Related links have been turned off of my domains for over a year. I have none.

This is right below the privacy policy. Are you sure you don't see this? They are frosted, but visable. Try highlighting that area. Maybe it is your screen color making them disappear.

That's naive on so many levels, especially since you know nothing about me. You also sound so defeatist its alarming.

Customers lining up behind me? I most likely have better names than most of those lining up behind me. But let them line up if they like abuse. :yell:

In regards to the payout date, I am moving away from them b/c of this. This started last month, but I was hoping it was a fluke. My post was to show Sedo I was pissed. I am not trying to get a date changed.

How is this a necessary evil? Parked.com pays out twice a month, and RevenueDirect also. Remember Sedo takes a larger CUT of the cake than any other parking co., but they can't get my money to me sooner since they are sitting on the cash anyway?

Look, not to toot my horn, but I registered domains when they were free in August 1995, even before Rick Swartz started. I then went on and bought $30,000 worth of domains in late 1995 and have never stopped buying. I am already wealthy and have helped Sedo make some of their money too, so I have some clout/power and I know other domainers that have never been to a domain show and started about when I did. This is not a story about David an Goliath.

Domainers DO have power. Sorry you have taken such a submissive position with them. IMHO

Whats your savings account interest? 3% annually?

0.03/365 * 5 = 0.00045 = .045% interest.

Unless you are owed $5000 + i don't see the big deal.

You dont see someone else gaining on your money as a "no problem". Once again, that's stupid business. IMHO

$5,000 is chump change.

Anyways it is just Sedo's way of doing biz that pisses me off.

At the end of the day, with regards to this issue , sedo wins, and you lose. Thats all i'm saying about this topic.

Agreed.

If SEDO is generating you 20K's or above in sales, than yes you are loosing out on interest, if not, than you are loosing anything from a few cents to a few bucks in interest. Seriously the time spent doing posts bagging out SEDO looses you more money than a loss of interest would.

IMO people are really tight around here when it come to being paid. lol

A few days does not make that big of a deal, and remember that almost every company holds your money for at least 30 days before being paid. Google pays once a month after you reach a certain level, and affiliate marketing companies do the same as well.

I see what you are saying, but.....

Money is money. And they have mine and are making money off of it. Period.

I used to get paid much, much quicker. Do you remember when they used to pay on the fourth or fifth? Those days are long gone. I think that was 2003/2004. How things have gone backwards once they got "professional".

I also don't rest on my laurels b/c I have "made it" and then get lazy and let them leech off my fat ass. Pride always comes before a fall.... so I'll take every red cent... thank you. Rich people stay rich for a reason. :)

Sorry I sound like a spoiled rich kid, but I take it personally. This is how I have won at everything I do. Now that money is going to go to Parked and Revenue Direct b/c of the two payout periods per month. Hopefully, now I will get my money faster and get interest on it faster.

The only downside leaving Sedo is that they allow you to do things on their pages that other domain companies won't, but those days are coming to an end anyhow based on the direction of things.

oh yes. paying early is absolutely ridiculous. heck, even net10 is pretty damn late. we should all get daily payouts.

having net15 in their tos and paying net13 is definitely treating us domainers as crap. how dare they.

Its quite ironic, if you believe SedoPro to be the best company to optimize your domain traffic, that you would leave for a lower performing company all due to "interest scandal" complaints.

IF you realize you aren't getting the same results with Parked, will you go back to Sedo Seabass? Or will you "stick to your principles". Of course...every penny counts.

Based on your self description, you must have a 30%+ bonus, at least 75%+ rev share from sedo. Let me know how you are doing at parked.
