It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

The most helpful way to find domains is to work with WHOIS on a daily basis...

And to get offers and sales you don't need to own something special... strictly dictionary and strictly English...
Just research any interesting/brandable names... and think like endusers...
This is per my own experience for years...

It means RICH in spanish (2nd spoken language in the world).
Amazing name, congrats."

I have noticed that ALL (not only my) .PRO domains which were registered in the 2nd half of December'2016 - were NOT dropped by ELB but renewed and alive... even WHOIS contacts weren't changed.

So you may even try to contact ELB (Netissime) to get your AUTH codes and to transfer them...

Per my own WHOIS observation - most Chineses don't drop their .PROs...
And many of them are even renewed a few years ahead...

@Jurgen Wolf Do you know if there's any specific reason why .PROs are popular in Russia (or this is my understanding based on what you've been saying)? Or is it just a coincidence...

Because it is really supported/promoted by Russian registrars... since 2012 or so...

My 1Q 2018 .PRO results:
1-2 inquiries weekly...
2 sales (~$850 per domain in average).

Fees will be increased by Afilias on September'1...
So renew/transfer as much as possible before this date...

Because it is really supported/promoted by Russian registrars... since 2012 or so...
2nd reason is that the same .RU domains are trading on aftermarket in 4/5-figure range and some of them even up to 6 figures...
So not all endusers can afford them...

VALENS.PRO (2017) - one more Austrian company...

According to my parking observation .PRO traffic is trending up from year to year...
On some of my .PROs I receive even up to 20-25 visitors daily...
