The .PRO Discussion

[InvisionTech]

It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

This year no changes for my pricing policy for endusers...
From high $xxx...

420K+...

[Jurgen Wolf]

The end at ELB - $13.99 already...
So at now the cheapest is NameCheap for $1.06...

Looks like ELB decided to escape themselves from .PRO registrations

[MasterGuru]

By the way, is it possible to see somethere the information how much .PRO domains each registrar are managing?

[Jurgen Wolf]

Looks like they don't generate the required monthly volume to get such rebate from Afilias...

[Jurgen Wolf]

streaming.pro sold for $18,000 on 2007-03-21 at AfterNic
stream.pro sold for $11,000 on 2007-03-21 at AfterNic

Very strange or even fake sales...
Streaming is owned by @webdomain and it is parked, and for sale...
Stream - I caught it in May'2016...

Ask @jmcc

[Jurgen Wolf]

eOnline.pro

Do you see endusers on this domain?

p.s. iOnline is available as well...

+ another possible reason at ELB: this .PROmo was scheduled until certain date and was not extended by their team...
So you may contact them and ask...

[Jurgen Wolf]

Regarding stream + streaming = $29K in March'2007 via Afternic...
I guess, they were paid but the buyer was not eligible accordingly to VERY OLD .PRO-restrictions (before September'2008)...

[Jurgen Wolf]

PRAGMA.PRO (2015) - one more Italian enduser...

[Jurgen Wolf]

HOTELIER.PRO (2014) - popular Russian resource...

[Jurgen Wolf]

SAFELY.PRO (2014) - Spanish enduser...

I dont know why but among the newGTLDs, .pro appeals to me the most.

.PRO is NOT nTLD... it was launched in June'2004.
