It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

I think its a great sale. Specially given the ROI.

I'm sure someone must be kicking themselves over it.

Hopefully a precursor to more .pro sales :tu:

Just a note for fellow .pro enthusiasts, I just received notice that payment has been received for ebook dot pro. It was picked up immediately at my counter offer price of $3900 (which I'm of course wishing I had set a bit higher). A good sale nevertheless.

Very Happy for you, congrat, as you see it pays to wait, when the right time comes, buyers seeks for it and you just scream :sold:

Not surprise to see sold that high, it's a quality .pro you've got, I've also notice in the news yesterday that ebooks and ereaders will double it sales in 2010:

I don't have time to read all 65 pages, sorry. :)

2 quick questions:
Who is the best .pro registrar?
Which companies have .pro backorders?

Thanks for your answers.

You should. Salvation lies within! :)
Who is the best .pro registrar?
Encirca.
Which companies have .pro backorders?
Snapnames.

Congratulations to Wired for winning the Game.pro competition tee shirt, as we all now know "Game.pro looks cooler on a tee shirt than Juego-Gratis.com because it fits". I will be in touch by PM to ensure that your limited edition tee shirt fits as well as game fits .pro.

Bob, congrats on the sale. eBook.pro sounds like a good name, with digital readers like kindle increasing in sales, demand for ebooks would definitely increase.

Game.pro looks cooler on a tee shirt than Juegos-Gratis.com because... it fits.

First I would like to thank AKCampbell for this excellent .PROmotion (haha do I win a new prize?).

All the entries were great and I am happy to have won. I think that "It Fits" really says it all, and I hope we have more great contests in the future.

Even though I do not have the .PRO logo in my title, it is my very favorite TLD behind the big 3 and I own several nice ones, including Sword.pro, Dragon.pro and Wire.pro (my namesake), and I am always looking for more.

Once again thanks to everyone for this great name, and I am more than happy to celebrate Game.pro with my awesome t-shirt!

Total .pro's registered rose by 3.9% in Jun 09 from 38,418 to 39,914. Network Solutions is the first .pro registrar to reach 5 digits at 10,115.

Encirca was flat in the month at 9,180 but will probably have a better Q4 09 than other registrars because they have older .pros which are more likely to be renewed and far fewer of their total .pros were registered during the Sep 08 landrush.

I was the seller of Book.pro for $3000. Dotprofan, I think you secured an amazing price for ebook.pro. Alternative extensions are often perceived as having little value unless preceded by a strong, single keyword. Your sale seemingly takes .Pro to new levels. Excellent.

Relatedy, I got on Namepros today in order to report my sale of lingerie.pro on Sedo for $1295. No use looking back, but going forward I will certainly factor in your sale when considering future offers. It will be wonderful to see your sale when it is reported in the DnJournal. Congtratulations!:snaphappy:

Not bad news for .pro!

I suppose that Lingerie.pro had to go for French hands...

I hope next related domain sold was my SexShop.pro ...

By the way, do you like the "selfmade parking home" for this domain?

You are correct. Lingerie.pro did wind up in French hands. You're parking page is outstanding...

Nice sale on lingerie.pro, maybe if it's a slow week we'll both make it on to dnjournal! Thanks to all for the congrats btw - I know it can be hard to be a .pro domainer in the face of constant skepticism (some of it justified), but the bottom line is that they are cool sounding names that do well with SEO and consequently have value to the right visionary buyers. If the restrictions are ever dropped be prepared for major positive changes in the .pro aftermarket. :imho:

I agree with the SEO aspect of the .PRO. On my solutions.pro site, i don't get much traffic but whatever comes through, over 75% is from search engine results. I don't do anything to market it, build backlinks or anything like that. I think SEO potential of .PRO can be leveraged to great lengths if website is marketed rigth and traditional SEO techniques are added on top of the SEO advantage that comes with .PRO.

Today's my greatest day ever. Here is the short story:
A friend of mine have a home staging company and months ago I check if .pro was available for her, she was excited as .pro fit that name. But unfortunately it have a website of someone in this business (real end user) I then try to contact that person within contact on her website and made an offer on it $1250.00 (high offer as I know she won't sell it low because alll other TLDs are taken and $1250 for this kind of business is nothing more than 1 consultation fee). But after week and more, no answer from that person, so I though she don't want to sell it but keep it for her business and for years.
This afternoon, I was just curious at looking for dropped .pro domains not even thinking of home staging dot pro but just browsing to see if I can reg nice name. What was my surprise to see that home staging dot pro was there available (recently dropped) WOW my heart beats high and I was shaking, try to get my Credit Card and reg before someone does!
This is my lucky day. :)
