It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

six pros

This is such a jolly thread I wanted a reason to join in. Here are mine:

CONDUCT.PRO
TRYOUTS.PRO
MISTRESS.PRO
POSTURE.PRO
HANDICAPPING.PRO
BOWLERS.PRO

What do you think?

I regged mine at NetSol even thought it is $30 because the other registrars didn't sound too reliable.

Hi, DomainPeople is OK, you should save yourself $10 and reg there. The most brandable name on your list is Posture.pro, I can see that being popular with chiropractors. The best fit is Conduct.pro, "professional conduct" has 1.4m Google uniques. Have you thought how you would go about commercialising it? What business use did you have in mind for the other .pros on your list?

Has anyone been able to transfer out of encirca ?? I see the renewal fee is $59.99 for 1 year and $150 for 2 years ($75 year) ??

domain people .pro

akacambell - thank you for the tip on domain people. but i dont think i will reg anymore .pro

The reason i chose each name is that they are highly searched in combination with the word professional. According to my logic this means that each domain will stand out when they appear in the SERPs?

I will develop made-for-adsense sites on each topic. Well at least that is what i say, i need to develop over 100 others first!

I will be happy with a buck a day from each site.

I like conduct and posture. Bowlers? Cricket or bowling? Someone dropped "wicket.pro" the other day...

DomainPeople has been good so far, I registered my last 5 10 names with them.

Today I registered:

Bamboo.pro (bamboo products)

Edit:

Add:

Dinnerware.pro
Housewares.pro
Stairs.pro
Peripherals.pro

I've only used domainpeople for my .PRO. No big complaints. Tried hostway a couple of weeks ago before all the bad reviews but, like everyone else, haven't been able to register a name with them.

I just picked my 2 first .pro domains:

oxygen.pro
caribbeanvacations.pro

What do you think of them?

I really like oxygen.pro, that is big business from Equipment to the gas itself, both in industrial and medical uses.

130 sponsored links for oxygen therapy. If you looking to sell I'd start there.

==========

On a side note, I noticed one of the sponsored Registrypro .pro nameservers
is....... NS1.BigT*Ts.pro ... :notme:

http://www.icann.org/en/tlds/monthly-reports/pro/registrypro-200807.pdf

So i guess that answers questions about adult names. If you got the credentials seems they really don't care.

Guess not, check babe.pro and porn.pro. Although the latter is borderline.

More Pros...

datamining.pro
trucking.pro
conferencing.pro
drop.pro

For domainers, I think drop.pro is probably the best of the bunch. Any other opinions?

Drop is pretty good for drop, deleted, etc. domains. Had it way down the list though... :)

Trucking is nice too, saw it drop the other day. :$:

Brilliant fit with .pro but the word is very long at 13 letters, plural, not that popular is URL's, and the highest sale with the keyword in is $110.

Having said that, I have a couple of similar names, Profession.pro and Occupation.pro that I was close to dropping but changed my mind at the last minute because of their exceptional fit with the extension.

Definitely, I'm surprised Drop.pro was still available. Virtually, everything I looked at in 2007 but didn't register is gone.

Thanks. Conduct will be a nice boring site that I can produce content for myself. With posture I am going to hit up a chiro friend to be my content partner - if he is up for it, it could be big :) as for bowlers - 10pin US league is the target - professional bowling is a pretty hot search.

my true passion will be building out mistress.pro :)

That's interesting, don't you think something like 10pin.pro or tenpin.pro would be a stronger brand for a bowling site?
