It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

As seen in registry.pro news report, France is the 2nd consumer of .pro, where "pro" sound great.

Don't get discouraged. To get appraisals you have to give appraisals, post information, news, and comments, or buy or sell domains. You've posted 9 times and 6 of those posts were asking for appraisals or opinions. There are more .pro appraisal requests on NamePros than .pro domainers so it's not easy to get a response.

Walk.co.uk sold for $13,051 so there is money in this keyword for the right buyer. Professional footware and accessories, bespoke footware, walking guides, and walking holidays would be a good fit for the name. It's short, memorable, and sounds good, probably not much value reseller yet so you would need to direct market it. I regged Trek.pro in late 2007 and I see somebody picked up Hike.pro in the last couple of days.

.pro works well with activity, hobby and sports keywords. I noticed Watersports.pro was available about 3-4 days ago and it went the next day. These type of .pro keyword are disappearing fast.

There is many .pro domaine name reserved by registry itself. ( ex : ingegnere.pro )
Is it done in order to make a premium auctions ?
Is there a way to buy one of thoses reserved name from RegistryPro ?

it is not correct info!!! in GB only i have 70 .pro domains and + AKcampbells domains??!!!))

I think the stats are where the registrar is based, not the registrant. Otherwise, it must be because of the US based Encirca ProForwarding service. It took me about 2 weeks after the relaunch on 8 September to get my .pros in my name.

Maybe Gandi.net is based in France which is why France comes second. Hakita is the only French registrant of .pros I have come across on the WHOIS but that's probably because I'm not looking up French words.

I am actually transfering from encirca to gandi.
It was no possible a few month ago because of an 'registry error'
Now it seems to work out. I ll let you know as soon as it will be finished

When you transferred .pros to Gandi, did you qualify for the banding discount? It goes down to $18 for a transfer in the highest .pro discount band. Also, did you get 1 year of registration added when you switched? How much did you pay per .pro to transfer?

The transfert from Encirca to Gandi didn't work out... i am actually requesting support from encirca
Akcampbell, Gandi requested 9€ for the transfert. I do not know about the expiration date so far. I ll let you know

I think it's because somebody tried to transfer a .pro again. It brought down all the Encirca, Gandi and RegistryPro servers.
