Tarriffs are not something you impose on your allies. More retaliatory tarriffs being imposed upon us from everywhere. This is going to hurt consumers in the pocketbook big time.

Prices go up, people cut back spending, manufacturing costs go up, jobs disappear. Tarriffs on food exports? US farmers will take a hit. Tarriffs on food imports? Consumers take the direct hit there.

General protectionism didn't work in 1929 and it isn't going to pan out any better now.

Talk of a ban on German import vehicles. Great.

These tarriff wars have been going on between Europe and the US for as long as I can remember.

Did you know that an American car pays a higher tarriff to import into Portugal than a German or French or Italian car? and we don't even have a car industry, anymore...

And I wouldn't be surprised if other EU countries don't do the same as far as cars are concerned.

There are hundreds of other products being heavilly tarriffed by both the US and EU. They are both guilty of the same sin.

But when it comes to China vs US, the Chinese are commiting a lot more sins than the Americans. The exact same as China vs EU.

As for American agricultural products, I hope the EU taxes them even more, because they are mostly Genetically Modified, which is poison to our bodies.

But unfortunately for us, the EU is also begginning to produce GM crap food. We're all screwed

Speaking of tariffs, just saw this on the news about Coors, this is another article:

Trump administration ends tariff exemptions, further burdening beer industry

Earlier this month, Jim McGreevy, president and CEO of Washington, D.C.-based trade association the Beer Institute, said that aluminum prices have increased by 135 percent since the start of 2018.

McGreevy estimates that the tariffs could threaten 20,000 jobs in the industry nationwide.
