Hi everyone! It has been quite some time since I have made a post at NP. I have been reading this forum (mostly the mobi section) and I have been observing the mobile market since day one. If I compare the mobile web presents in the daily life today (in Germany) to one year ago, something has changed.

Daily TV advertisement from T-Mobile (iPhone) and Vodafone promoting the
mobile web.

A daily printed newspaper (Welt Kompakt) has introduced QR Codes for mobiles.
Welt Kompakt: QR Codes
Wikipedia: QR Codes

I have seen people downtown with shopping bags with the slogan:
β€žThe internet is here,
where you are.β€œ
(Translated from German)

A famous printed magazine (Fokus) had an article about smartphones and one
of the example websites they mentioned was tagesschau.mobi (news). I was really
delighted when I read this one. :yell:

Colleagues who have nothing to do with domaing have heard about mobi.
They even knew about kicker.mobi (sport).

Not to forget the great 3rd Sedo auction, even though there were some problems.

I have more hits & clicks on my mobis than one year ago. :)

Find.mobi was created! I really like this search engine. It was already mentioned at NP. View Thread
IMO this is where the ready.mobi score becomes important. If you compare the number of search results
of a keyword at Google (keyword + site:mobi) and the results at find.mobi there is an enormous difference.

Keyword: mp3
Google: 99,400
Find.mobi: 3,340

β€ž... He claims that, by the end of August, any sites that do not score a four or five in the MobiReady report will be removed. At that point mobile users can be confident that dot mobi sites will display effectively on their phones...β€œ

Removed from where? IMO from Find.mobi, because there are still many mobi sites out there that are not mobile compliant. I think in the future it will be very important to be listed at find.mobi, because I’m sure dotMobi is going to promote it’s own search engine, in a big way! What do you think?

Thatβ€˜s great news from Norway JimCato.com. I’m also convinced that 2008 is going to be good year for mobi. Iβ€˜m flying on Sunday to Norway (Stavanger) to celebrate X-Mas there!

Great post freeflow... Rep added

What a difference a year makes. Quite a lot of ground has been covered. This year should see a continuance of the same. More mobi's being used and promoted....

I'm a big fan of find.mobi as well. I agree that mtld will surly be pushing this in the near future. It's very exciting to see many our sites listed so high in results
