I`m not joking, I was holding to open this one from a while hopefully someone else would but no one did so time for me to keep track of these too.

I love .info , I prefer them over .net because .info has its use while in my opinion .net is second best to .com

I have sold already 3 nice CVCV.info to endusers for low $xxx in 2007 and it seems that prices are on the same level of .net, since the endusers are the ones buying most of the times.

Please , stay on topic, let`s make the short section of NamePros a success :)

I`ll start with reporting a nice sale already completed at Sedo today:

KONA.info $3,000

Still a good number of .infos available at reg fee the last time I checked. I feel people buying LLLL.nets and LLLL.infos are just doing the LLLL.coms a favour by increasing resale price. :D

Not surprinsingly, what this thread tells us is that CVCV.info aren't worth anything, unless they are actual words...

Personally, I always have difficulties with the concept of "4 letters". I mean, how could you compare JUXU.info, which means absolutely nothing, and WOOD.info or MISS.info, which are very good, meaningful and highly searched words?

So, IMHO, most 4 letters .info will never sell for more than $xx, but strong and meaningful words could reach very high prices, $xx,xxx or even higher in the years to come.

I do own a few CVCV.info myself, such as MOKA.info, that I expect to sell a nice price to an end user, or PUDU.info (even if it's a city in Malaysia, I'm pretty sure I will never get a high price for it).

BTW, I would be interested to hear what you guys think of this one: ASIN.info. The word does not really mean something, except that it's the item id used by Amazon to index all of its products for sale (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Standard_Identification_Number). Thus, "ASIN" gets 77 millions (!) results on Google... How (and how much) do you think I should try to sell it?

Cheers

Thats completely unfounded... I sold a completely random CVCV.info last week for $600! Buyers will emerge if you are patient and hold your names... I bought the name from a NP member here a coupld of months ago for $3...

exactly.......also I could include one of my old sales (few months ago):

HOGA.info for $110 at Sedo after an initial endusers contacted me offering $100 I put it on auction and buyers 2 came in on the last day to get it for $110.

Just checking the site it seem someone from Germany got it :)

Nice sale then... But wasn't your name an acronym or something? $600 for a non-meaningful .info is quite expensive...
I wish you are right though, holding tight my CVCVs ;)

You could in theory make an acronym out of anything but the name was woca(.)info... not even quad premium... but the buyer was determined thats the name they wanted. There are a few results in Google but nothing staggering.

I wrote a brief article here.
