The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

Not sure if this is just an anomaly or the sign of things to come but ALL non-private seller LLLL.com domains ending today at Snap public auction with $9 and $19 starting bids have at least one bid! It's a similar story for domains ending tomorrow, with only three having no bids. First time I've seen this for quite a while.

On Tdnam I see hundreds crappy ones with bids too.

I'm just looking through the Private Seller listings. Still a couple of these ending today under $20 without bids (out of 10 listed from $19 start or below):

I agree with sidekick_33's comments. $5 - $10 seems like a fair appraisal.

Estibot wildly over-estimates LLLL.com values, at least for lower-end domains.

LLLY.net comes much closer to getting it correct. Even so, I estimate that LLLY exaggerates appraisals in terms of current market values by an average of about 40%. To correct that, divide the appraisal by 1.4 to get an approximate realistic value at the present time.

To take your domain as an example, LLLY appraises it at $20. Dividing that by 1.4 gives us about $14. That still seems high to me, but it's a whole lot closer than Estibot's $230.

I agree estibot over-estimates prices but LLy.net sucks. Its probably only good for CCCC values. It does not take into account pronounceablility but only premium or not letters. For example I have tozk.com which it valuates at $25 because of the Z. Totally crap

I wouldn't pay more than $25 for tozk. I haven't found LLLY to be too bad, I use it primarily for screening a large amount of LLLL's and seeing if any have an abnormally high value.

I received an email from someone who's wanting my a/r/a/m/.net. It has some nice yahoo results and a decent estibot price. I told him $4000, just to see where he stands. He replied back within an hour saying that his price range would be in the $500 range. Now a similar dot com sold for $8000 in 2006, to an enduser of course. Granted its a dot com, but the yahoo results are very similar.

After hearing this, what would your counter offer be ? Or would you just take the money and run ?

Depends on your financial situation I suppose. With those serps and with the amount of aram-related websites out there though (buildingsaram.com, hotelaram.com, aram.co.uk, aram.com.sa, etc etc, with tons more as I'm sure you also researched) I think I would hold out myself, for $2k+.

$1k is fair enough.. IMO

dont,com sold in early 2007 for $30k+, however it doesnt make my dont,net $10k+ or something.. asking a fair price is always good for healthy business between both parties and keeps you progressing with positive returns on investment.

I would have to agree with Jay on this one, unless you have multiple people fighting over the domain, i don't see the high price mentioned being achievable. But you never know, it is a high risk asking for the multi thousands IMO.

You could try for the $1000. Don't let the sale get away though, $500 is still a very high price for it.
