The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

This domain is worth $3 to $9 depending on renewal time left. IMO.

That's one of the nice things about the cheaper LLLL.coms -- pretty hard to see 25 times your investment returned on the more expensive LLLL.coms even if you find a good end user unless you acquired it for way under market value.

I've been more successful selling double and triple premiums to end users, than with higher priced names. I've had many offers for some of my quads too, but I've found more difficult to close the sale. It's obvious that the price level is an important factor. Most end users are willing to buy in a 100 to 500 dollars range, but would think twice before paying more than that.

That's one of the nice things about the cheaper LLLL.coms -- pretty hard to see 25 times your investment returned on the more expensive LLLL.coms even if you find a good end user unless you acquired it for way under market value.

I'm starting to regret that I was not buying more aggressively in June/July, those were very good months to pick bargains. The upward trend is becoming more and more obvious with the all premium llll.com's.

the short name have two type...we'd better choose the first...

1. some is nice, nice meaning, nice look, nice pronounce......those will goto real end users soon or later with big potential..
2. some is bad, no meaning, ugly look, not pronounceable...it just short, those will keep by domainer, while time passed, the price may increase, but the profit still low as it hard to value by enduser...

what means nice or bad, u know that....my own strategy is avoid those bad LLLL priced $10-20, but, focus on $30-50 names consider my limtied budget
