We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

There's a mere 676 LL.com... there's definitely 676 companies or entities in the world able to pay > $500k for their brand identity if it makes sense.

The issue could be that they're looking for a whole lot lot lot more than $500k. ;) MW.com is looking for $4.5 million. For whatever reason, Meriam Webster is happy with their m-w.com... I'd like to see their marketing budget because I feel like a one time $4.5 million payment would be no issue to better own their brand, but well, they haven't asked my opinion so...

Likewise, the only reason WeightWatchers, a public company worth as of today > $600 million (thanks to Oprah) sticks to WeightWatchers.com rather than logo's ww.com has to be because the owner is either not talking or asking for a % of the company rather than a few to handful of million. WW's budget is likely sizably marketing and presence oriented, thus a reason sale price for them to buy ww.com would be a no brainer.
These companies are making multimillions to multibillions in profit, every year. Take the first one, AA.com - American Airlines. Profits for 2014 were $4.2 billion. These domains are invaluable to these companies.

$30-40k range sales were 6-7 years ago, I wonder why someone sells now LLL.com for such amount especially to resellers..my point that currently LLL.com floor price is $100k and that will rise and such budget can afford any mid level company for domain name & marketing / reputation purposes, i'm not talking even about big companies.

If that's your own floor price I can understand, but REAL floor price is even less than 30K, I've seen sales reported in teens and 20s in this thread not so far ago.

People sell for many reasons, one need cash quickly, second want to fix profit, others see better investment opportunities and so on. Keep waiting, in 10 years or less someone will pay you 100K for LLL.com, no doubt.
Rich Chinese investor, probably.

I'm aware of a private sale that happened recently around $16k...

NNN.com floor price nowadays is about $100k and they are dedicated ONLY to Chinese..
LLL.com can be used globally including Chinese..so it have at least 100x times more potential customers than NNN.com.. Owners decide for how much sell their names for $16k or $100k, my opinion floor price is $100k for someone it can be even $1k, that is their choose, but last few month sales like qjs.com - $150k, obe.com - $200k, aux.com - $100k confirms only my opinion. Currently spam offers from resellers for LLL.com's already in $30-50k range depending on letters.

Owners decide for how much sell their names that's true.

But investors decide what to buy as well. Unless your name is real good, they will have no problem buying another name or two-three for market price that you consider spam offer, instead of paying 100K for yours.
And domain investors rule the market today, not end-users.

Just wait another 5-10 years, when market price will reach your asking 100K and someone will offer it.

You're either wrong or stating what you're saying wrongly. dead wrong.

No doubt.

But if I had 30K laying around today I would only put them into LLL.com if had no time and will to manage my investments.

Otherwise I would put them into LLLL .com and .net with Chinese flavor and some digital patterns.
There is hot market today and real chance to double your money within few months, not 3-4 years.

LLL.com is retirement plan asset, LLLL - stock for younger and active investor.

And why you think so, elaborate.

LLL prices are too high already, they will go up, but not so fast
LLLL prices are low

and I am not talking about .net-s

And you just confirming what I say, that LLLL will grow faster and LLL is more solid asset.
If you understand stock market then, LLL.com is blue chips, LLLL.com - mid-cap and LLLL.net - small cap.Higher risk = higher reward.
People who bought LLLL.net for 1$ will easily collect 200-500% ROI next day.
LLLL.com investors will get 50% in a month.
And LLL.com it will take few years to get this 50%, but you feel more confident, that price won't go down to zero or 5000$ when next crisis starts, or may be it will?
