We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

But you have an invested interest in seeing them fall because otherwise you sold too early and cant make the big profit claim above. Its all about your ego, it so big you can not appreciate you own vested interest in seeing them fall, only others invested interest in seeing them rise.

They've already fallen, it is a fact.

To prove it any one who wants to sell at $3,000 regardless of so called quality PM me.

People don't "want" to sell at that level, that is the price they may get if they need to sell. Nobody is going to come rushing at you with names around the minimum, just go and bid.

Minimum = minimum, it doesn't mean the maximum, it doesn't mean the average, it doesn't reflect a "good" price that sellers would jump all over.

I agree. Many companies are spending $xxx, xxx on a single magazine or TV ad. Having the right domain is essential for a company these days, and the importance is only growing as internet penetration increases.

I think the current marketprice for LLL.coms is still very low considered their potential.

Heck, people are paying a lot more for custom car license plates than for domains!:|

Also some people spend a million dollars on a a diamond ring, therefore, LLL.com......

Meanwhile the beat goes on in the real world and we are seeing more sales around what people deny is the minimum.

I think you are confusing things a bit. A LLL.com is a potent media platform, comparable to other media outlets like a newspaper ad. Not at all like a diamond ring.

To give you a real world example. I worked part time in the communication department for a large Danish IT company. At one point I was tasked to outsource the creation of a simple one page flash banner. I was given the budget of 45.000 DKK. That is just short of 8000 USD in current conversion rates. Now I had the banner made for less than a tenth of the budget using Elance.com, but they were accustomed to paying that for having a flash banner created by a PR firm. Everyday media task in a large company.

I give you this example to relate the cost of a LLL.com to everyday operation of a small department in a large corporation.

The reason that a LLL.com domain can be more valuable than a flash banner for a company, is that it is recognizable and easily remembered. That coupled with the move of most of the retail sector into the online world creates value for LLL.com and other types of domain names.

I remember when these "sales report" threads used to report sales.

Hey snoop, any good word on the LLLL.com market?

There are quite a few at auction at Go Daddy Auctions at the moment. Another three will end tomorrow:

ndv(.)com - currently at $3,424
dwu(.)com - currently at $3,348
zxk(.)com - currently at $3,204

The auctions end in the middle of the night my time, so hopefully someone else can report the sales.

I was checking some sales and confirmed that GoDaddy seems to sell a domain to the next biggest bid in an auction if the winning bidder does not pay...

LHO(.)COM had first went for $8,505 but the settling bid was $8,045

Some names ended at Latona's latest weekly auction, but did not get any bids:

RIJ(.)com - reserve $6,500
XSO(.)com - reserve $5,300
XAH(.)com - reserve $5,300
WQO(.)com - reserve $4,250

Actually, not a single one of the 60 names in the auction attracted bids...

Thanks for the report. Looks like some sellers still set reserves too high for the current market.
