We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

21st April XYQ com considered by some the worst combo ever sold today on 4.cn $12,100 but these are premium letters in Chinese.

Wow, that's a premium price for a 'non-premium' domain! I'm also impressed by the domains you listed above; they were all $4000+! I think that bodes well for our minimum which hovered around $3000 a few months back.

ZSW com $8,600- at 4.cn
Did anyone get the Sedo Great Domains auction results?

SVJ.com $4900
XTQ.com $3700 (not at greatdomains but ended at sedo an hr later)

Not sure about the others

YBN.com

At this moment in time, would Sedo be the best venue to find a buyer for my YBN.com (1998, BN = Business Network)? I am hoping to land a sale in the $6.5K to $7.5K range. Is that realistic given current market conditions?

I doubt it.

probably that is the high end for that domain so it doesn't seems very likely. XLD.com fetch 5,000 EUR yesterday on SEDO.

request an appraisal from SEDO

BTW, nice catch federer. you are ahead of the curve ;)

Possible if you can resist a quick flip. Yahoo would be a great end user for this one :)

LLL.coms really shouldn't sell below $5k USD imho. They are much more valuable than that.

Seems the premiums are still no better than at the GFC lows, indeed was there even a sale as low as the $10,100 (HCD.com) ? I can't remember if they got below 10k or not, I don't think they did?

I agree...the LLL.com market still sucks atm! :(

Regarding the cheap ones they have come up about 25% from the lows. Personally I think they have had a good run, especially in comparison to the premiums and perhaps other parts of the domain market. Just don't compare it to prices from 2008. That market was a bubble.

Yes they did, 7k was the lowest. Can't tell the exact domain because a friend bought it, but probably you can look it up.

That doesn't help much if you won't even state the name or where it sold. If it is not in the open market it doesn't mean much just like if someone bought a LLL.com tomorrow for $1500 by emailing someone it wouldn't mean much in terms of market prices. The point is, are these names (premium LLL.com) selling for even lower prices than during the worst of the GFC? It seems to me they are.

It was sold at Sedo in an open auction. I have even made a post about it here, but the buyer asked me to remove it. So no, they are not selling for lower now, by far not.

Premium LLL.coms were never affected by the LLL.com price dip, at least not as much as other domains. The lower end has been $10k-$12k for the last 2 years, at least. There have been maybe a couple of "super-bargains" on forums/Sedo the last year, but if you look at the average selling prices they have been pretty stable.

I can confirm that I snapped up a "super-premium" (not just the "average" premium letter LLL.com) for $7,9k in November 2009. Sold it a couple weeks later for $18,5k. Lucky "once-a-year" grab imho.

that wasn't a buy at the market value tho.. forum sale by some kind of cave dweller ;)

some of the lower triple prems sold on auction in the 7k area at that time tho.

Please state the name so we can see for ourselves, otherwise it is just meaningless to have a discussion about it. Personally I don't recall any auction sales under 10k but I could be wrong.

In my view they were hit very hard and the overall LLL.com market saw more than a dip, it crashed. 60% falls at the worst points. From $7600 minimum to $3000.
