Hot.mobi seems like it would attract the biggest spenders, we'll see. It will be an interesting auction for sure

I agree. It's short and can be applied to wide variety of businesses (anything from games to porn)

I think so too.

Just think....you're at work late, and your boss watches your internet access like a hawk. You forgot today was your anniversary, and forgot to get a gift. No time to stop on the way home. What do you do? <cue jingle> Flowers.Dot.Mobi.

"Just think....you're at work late, and your boss watches your internet access like a hawk. "

Didn't even think about that benefit to .mobi.

Anyway, my vote is for fun.mobi. Short and broad.

Let the auction begin....

I think the higher price will still between cheaptickets and stockquotes.
Thats what .mobi offer to all people around the world ... to give the easiest and fastest way to access those kind of information. But who knows?... Let the auction begin....

...Keystrokes is the "key"

7 - Fun
6 - Hot
5 - Wow
10 - Laugh
9 - Party
20 - Flowers
16 - Celebs
17 - Gossip
25 - Cheaptickets
27 - Stockquotes

I would say "hot" .mobi will garner the most attention because it's a LLL.mobi with 6-under keystrokes, that can easily bring in the do-ray-me.

Fun.mobi will come in at a solid #2....

Flowers.mobi would be great for qwerty/smart phone users, but when looking at the whole picture it's not so great. There are 3 billion mobile phone users compared to probably under 100 million english centric Smart/phone PDA users.

"Sorry honey, I wanted to get you flowers for our anniversary, but it was just too many keystrokes, I'm sure you understand."

I don't buy the big deal being made about keystrokes. I think it is just one small part of the big equation. If I wanted to go to a flower website on my phone, I would try flowers.mobi, not wow.mobi because it is less keystrokes. I can't think of any reason why I would type "wow" unless it was already a website I knew.

I completely agree. No one is going to care how many keystrokes it takes to find the information they are looking for. People send text messages everyday that are composed of 100+ keystrokes without any thought (Even small messages like "I love you" is 24 keystrokes). BusinessWeek.mobi is 32 keystrokes and that hasn't stopped them from spending money on advertising. I can rant about this topic all night but you guys get the point..
