I have seen a lot of referrals to the 'end user', but wondered exactly how you would go about finding the end user, how to let them know that you are around and that you have domains that they'll want?

I have heard of a few sites where domains get sold, but the fees for listings are pretty extortionate - and as for eBay, isn't it more likely you'll find another domainer as opposed to the end user?

As somebody starting out in the wonderful world of being a domainer, I believe it's something us newbies could do with knowing.

need to do some research. google search similar names and keyword to locate the end user. The end user is not any reseller, it is the person actually will use the name.

Its quite simple. If a company/person sells a product on their site of a particular nature, if you have a related domain offer them the domain and tell them the price or ask for offers.

EG. If you own a domain like Chocolate.com you may go to Cadbury or Nestlé to see if they are interested, because this is one of their main markets.

Either that or someone may see the domain and just send you an offer by email from the WHOIS records. This is less likely than you approaching them.

Ebay is good for selling domains to 'n00bies' because they are unaware of the worth of domains and which ones are actually good or bad domains. But good domains end up going for the wrong price (under their market value) on ebay because it is not specifically a place where domainers go to search and buy domains.

By listing on specialist sites such as SEDO.com (which is free) and Afternic which is for a small fee, you can find specific domainers (resellers) that may be interested... but if a company is looking for a domain, domain markets are the first places that they will look for the perfect domain.
