My first country reg....apparently I was bidding against two potential buyers who were gonna make their move on the day I went over their heads.....I was happy with the 70% discount.......no messing around - either I like the name and think its worth it and buy, or one of the two don/t meet my criteria and I move on.......

Checked OVT - 238,000 which beats all the european country names, but still is only half the OVT of new york and Califfornia...(great regges on those ones boys!)

I foound that Thailand has the largest tourist numbers for that part of Asia...so thats nice too......

The recent coup in Thailand went pretty smoothly without violence - so hopefully the tourist industry will remain unthreatened.......

I know that quite a few members of this board, both present and past - really think that country domains is as sure a bet as you will get with a .TV....and I am seeing the angle......

I was surprised how low the reg fee was for this site...there are others available at double the price and not nearly as attractive - IMHO...

Anyway - .TV has always left me smiling at their reg fee pricing structure.....I just try and make it work for me when I can....... :D

I think thailand was one of the better remaining options in countryname.tv

Everyone's input is appreciated, yes - even Snoop!!!....it is also very reassuring to get positive feedback from those of you whom have made similar judgement calls on country reg names...you all know who you are.....and that is why I look to you guys for feedback.......so thankyous are due already!!

Searching TV - shekels is but one currency to sink your .TV investments funds into - its hard earned gelt any which way you look at it.....!!

Yes, I agree DeathPenalty.TV is not a good reg. 8-X

But why are you saying that THAILAND.TV is the BEST reg?? You think it beats EDUCATION.TV?? Or IT.TV??

Or are you saying relative to the cost of the regges.....

You must be loaded!!! :lol: I personally think Education.TV is by far your best reg ever... But where are you getting all this free cash to invest in the .TV extension, do you actively sell off your .tv or are you just building up your collection. Renewals must cost a fortune!!!

Thailand.tv is an awesome reg as well, as long as you develop it. I'm sure within no time you will a nice flow of revenue coming in daily! Good Luck! :tu:

I am not loaded...Premium, but that is certainly my ambition......!!

I really got a stunningly low reg fee on Thailand.....when you compare it to other major tourism country geos

AS for my two most expensive regges - they have been paid for two years upfront......so that gives me 23 months for IPTV to really take off -

Some say it has already take off......2000 - 2003 was for .TV prophets, 2003 - 2006 we are in the investor landrush year/s, 2006 - 2008 will be the end-user years, and 2008 onwards will be mass acceptance that .TV makes the most comm0o sense as THE ext for video footage related websites...

So I am hoping my timing is right or close enough........

Secondly, I am about as close as I have come to getting one of my sites into the development stages (read business plan/brainstorming) ad hopefully, it willl generate enough income in the next two years so that I will not have to worry about the reg fee renewals......

But bottom line - this is definately a roll of the dice....I will either win big time - or look for the closest bridge to throw myself off come 2009!!!

I didn't take it as an insult.....!! very sensible points made,,,,,and it would be nice to see you around a whole lot more....I wish we could have as many people as possible contributing their regges, ideas, apparaisals, critiques, etc....it would help all of us....
