.tv tennis.TV surprise!

Dear all,

For the past week i have been monitoring tennis.TV which was in pending-delete status. From the begging I noticed 2 things:

One was that the registar was enom.com and the second was that had a 10$ renewal fee.

As we all now the pending delete status lasts for 5 days. For tennis.tv it lasted 7.... Moreover every day i checked at enom's clubdrop in order to backorder it but for my surprice there was nowhere in a list.

Today i found out that Finaly the domain is available but then i found out that it had been transformed into premium with 10000$ renewal!

I made that post to read your comments on it...

This looks to be one of the domains that Online.TV owned, which dropped. They received a renewal deal years ago with their agreement (Equity's previous post). As the domain dropped, Enom decided to change the terms of the renewal fees. If you read CashCow's post, it will shed some light on the matter.

The renewal fees that online and IGAL and ELEQUA have received were fees they got for basically keeping the .tv corp afloat years ago. Now that online.tv domains dropped they will go back to being a premium

yep, this was also one of the domains revoked. another drop catcher got this one and they pulled this one and many others from them as well. this is going to be huge and ugly, mark my words -- i'd hate to be enom/verisign about now. they will get what's coming to them all in due time. unfortunately, its not going to be only about the 226+ premium domains at that point.

wierd-the online.tvs dropped yesterday and we regged in tiawan

Yesterday the online.tv ones all dropped at 9am and we registered by some group in tiawan and pointing to lookingfor.tv...nameland.com

wedding.tv

wierd...

now they are all showing as premiums...

I actually emailed the person listed in the enom whois...
