Well Adobe is a dictionary word. But the trademarks limit it's use for many things.
But it could be used. Not sure anyone would want the confusion problems regardless.
But I can't see a likely use by anyone.
Not sure where you see value in the name. Where is the need or want ?
There are similar names still available for a hand reg. provided the other problems are not problems.
If you look at the previous sales history for keyword adobe, it's not great. It's hardly on the radar.
