TDNAM search options

First off why does their search suck so much? Anyone know any tricks/tips or other ways to get only what you are looking for?

i.e. use the advanced search, select buy it now & you get 6 zillion other types of auctions (bid, offer etc.) Absolutely maddening.

I have also found I really have to work the Advanced Search on TDNAM to avoid having to wade through reams of total dreck. I have found it helps to select only one TLD (usually com) and then a price range. If you keep the search at "all prices" you will be swamped. Then setting a character limit, so you don't have to look at the "it seemed like a good idea when we regged it" type of lengthy domains.
