domain Take Offer Or No???

I just put a few domains 4 up on ebay including these 2...

ADDMY.com
ADULTCYBER.com

Within seconds of posting them it seems I received an offer on them. The auction is for 10 days though. Do I let it ride the 10 days or accept his first offer of $200 for the pair. Could be someone in here not sure. Advice fellas? What would you do? My first reaction would be to deny it as I feel addmy.com is a very strong name that someday will bring the dough, adult cyber I could give or take. Any opinions please.

Are there any current bids on the Ebay auction ... and what are the rules as far as accepting offers from outside that listing (assuming this offer is from outside)?

I have the reserve jacked up so it would take some dough to get those 2 anyway, but if I made an offer outside or here I could close that auction down.

Personally, I'd accept the offer ... but it doesn't sound to me ^^ like you will, IMHO.

yeah i think I will deny this and kick myself later I guess :lol: It seems the bidder has about 14 or 17 positive marks this month alone at ebay and quite a few from domain buys, has experience I am sure, plus this offer came within seconds of posting. Yes I may regret but I will hold at that price. Thanks for your input RapidBox.

Yeah I know you are probably correct, just thanking you for your opinion, yes a bidder from ebay but not a bid a contact seller side deal kinda thing.

Still, might vote for holding off because of "addmy.com" , good potential there, which is why I assume you're holding off (As the "cyber" one is much weaker by comparison).

exactly my thinking, the cyber one would probably take a walk for 100, but both for 200 I'm gonna pass for now. Yes this isn't a bad deal since I just picked both up on backorders a week or 2 ago, but I'm stubborn and am not broke at the moment so I will sit on it. The auction was really to test them, still may sell but not for $200.

I'd sell, because addmy doesn't, really do anything for me. A domain has value if it has a ring to it, or if it is a commonly used word or a product name. JMO, but 200 bucks sounds like a good deal to me. You might counter with 250 or so, just to eeek out a little more.

It is so sad that not a single comment has been made about the ethics of selling 'on the side' and canceling the auction.

I have received many of those 'if you cancel the auction i will pay $$$'. My reply is always that this is a public auction, feel free to place your bid there.

First, I think that you will find that selling 'on the side' is a violation of the Ebay terms. Second, you are not honoring a contract with a third party to use their services. Third, it is plain unethical.
