Syncora<dot>com - Offered 5K :: Is it more valuable then I think it is?

I was just offered 5K for my domain name Syncora.com.
Even though it seems like a reasonable price, I am a bit nervous because the buyer had no issue accepting my price.

Is there something I am missing?

I researched and it seems that there is a syncora.net developed website for an IT company, not sure but it seems linked to microsoft somehow. There is also lots of info out there for a financial type company that is changing their name to Syncora Holding Ltd.

Hope I can get some fresh eyes on this because I am not really sure what to do at this point ...

The price is more than reasonable in my opinion if it's a legit offer.

Maybe I am missing something about how the domain is worth $5,000.

Interesting, where did you find the info stating that syncora.net was syncora.com before the drop?

Could be lots of things - like someone's name for instance and they just have to have it. Unless you have some wonderful plan to turn Syncora into a money-making enterprise that will bring in more than $5K I would take the money.

I guess another thing to consider is the name change might lead lots of traffic to my domain ...

You got different things to think of hear. If some company changed their name to that and it is pretty high profile then your domain will get quite a bit of traffic and they will absolutley HAVE to have this name so therefore if someone has to have a name they will pay a pretty good price for it. If this is just some random person wanting the name then yes you should sale right away. But if it is this company you should counter the offer because they will be willing to pay wayyyy more than their initial offer
