I've got a rather large SVG file, animated via JavaScript.
I've tried it in FireFox & Safari on a MacBook Pro (Intel dual core), FireFox on an older Windows XP box (under 2GHz), and IE with the Adobe SVG plugin on the same XP Box.
FireFox with native SVG support on Windows and Mac, along with IE with the Adobe plugin all perform about the same (slowly) rotating the complex image, and they're slow to load the image, but Safari just loads it immediately and starts cranking 15-30x faster. Wow!
I hope the other browsers figure out what Safari is doing right!
