Hi guys,

I am wondering whether anyone knows anything about "SupportResort.com". Their prices seem very reasonable, their FAQ is well written as well, yet i'm missing the portfolio and customer testimonials...

Anyone have any feedback/input on these guys?

Thanks in advance,

I emailed them a few months ago with some questions and they never replied. That gave me a bad impression, and I never returned to the site.

I sent them an email earlier and got a response within 10 minutes.

What puts me off though is that they have relatively high "sign up fees" and are not willing to move on these. example: if i wanted to have a complete setup of a site, i'd have to:

Pay for the designer + setup fee of $199 Ranging anywhere from $528 for a part timer to $898 for a full time, entry level designer. the high end designers cost me...of course.
the designer has 30 days to get the design done. no one in their right mind is going to take 30 days for a design, specially not when a dedicated designer is working on the layout.
but then, the site has to be coded, so it's another:

Pay for the coder + setup fee of $199. Ranging anywhere from $528 for a part timer to $898 for a full time, entry level designer. the high end designers cost me...of course.
the coder has then 30 days to code the front/backend of the project. Which, for a coder i'd see a time frame of 30 days as more reasonable. Yet, any unused funds/time from the designer WILL NOT roll over to the coding department, potentially causing a client to loose several hundred dollars.

In an analogy: It's like buying a huge giftcard from Best Buy, you buy something, then you're left with an amount $X that you'll never spend. In essence, the company, in this case SupportResort is walking away with unused funds...
I suppose I'll steer clear from them as well as I have no intentions of handing them money for the sheer fun of it...

Clarification: They have a legal disclaimer in their email, preventing me from copying their response to this thread, or i would have copied/pasted the email and spared you from reading my novel ;)
