Currently, there appears to be a hard limit of 8 pages of new posts. That represents only about 6 hours, given the high level of activity of this site.

It might be better to have a much higher limit, e.g. enough to capture a week's worth of new posts (or no limit at all), otherwise one might miss threads when clicking "New Posts" (or have to resort to checking each sub-forum, which is a lot less convenient).

Second.

Especially when @Michael Ehrhardt creates 5 nonsensical posts per day and there are a number of Business Account users that push the 24h bump limit for 10 threads

Here's the response I wrote in another thread on this topic:
Agreed. That's how the forum software is currently set-up, but we may be able to modify it in the future.

However, we do have a few great options to help you not miss out on anything:
  • Overview of the top content each day, week, and month (30 days).
  • Marketplace can be browsed as far back as you want from newest listings to oldest, so you never miss anything new.
  • Domain Discussion combines all of the discussion forums around domains into a single aggregate so that you can browse back as far as you want. This is almost identical to "New Posts" except that it only contains domain discussions (no sales listings).
With the resources above, it covers almost everything that members may miss out on from the limitations of New Posts.

Hope that helps,
