What is TagCheap?
TagCheap is a site dedicated on selling a single script, which was developed uniquely for the site. The TagCheap script. The TagCheap script is an exciting script that can be used by webmasters to sell tags on their websites, and thus earn money by doing so. The TagCheap script itself has many features, from allowing customers to pick custom text color, background color, and font size. It even allows customers to pick their own hex values if they like!
TagCheap Script Features
Customer Benefits:
- Allows customers to choose tag color (or write a hex code if the color they want isn't provided!)
- Allows customers to choose tag background color. (or write a hex code if the color they want isn't provided!)
- Allows customers to choose tag font size.
- Their link is listed on the frontpage, and the "Top Tags" page for maximum exposure.
- Their link is lifetime, which gives added benefit to purchasing a tag.
Webmaster Benefits:
- Comes with a full administrator control panel, which can be used to edit/delete tags, add/delete administrators, add/edit/delete various color, background color and tag size options, allows you to edit price per character and a ton of other things too!
- Allows webmasters to make money selling tags on their website.
Other Benefits:
- The PSD comes included so you can change the look of the script.
- Comes with xHTML/CSS files so you can edit to your taste.
- Has "Top Tags" page to give paid tags more exposure.
- Has a built-in instant PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) feature, all you have to do is give you PayPal email address, and you can immediately start accepting payments when selling tags through the script.

The site was initially made for the script uniquely, but then I took over the site on the 26th February 2008, and since then have made 21 sales, totaling revenue to $172 in 17 days - more details on that given in the revenue section.
Revenue Details
Revenue is gained through selling single and multi-domain copies of the script via the website and various webmaster forums. I have listed the script for sale on 4 webmaster forums, and in turn have received 21 sales giving a total of $172 within the 17 days of my takeover. This is brilliant news, as it shows there is a demand for such a script in the market. The majority of sales were made via the forums, as the sale page on the website is new.

I have NEVER sold resell rights to this script, and I have had a few parties interested in paying for resell rights for the script too, so this is something definately taking advantage of to maximize revenue gained.
As you can see from the PayPal screenshots, I sold copies of the script for all sorts of different prices, as I haven't come up with a set price that I'm glad with yet.
Let's use the usual revenue calculator of monthly rev. x 10 = site valuation - this would mean:
$162 (IN 17 DAYS, NOT A MONTH)
$162/17 x 30 = $286 (monthly rev. if sales are similiar)
$286 x 10 = $2860.
Therefore the site valuation would be $2860! I'm selling this for a BIN of $900 (MORE THAN 3 TIMES LESS!).
This means there's loads of potential here for you to take advantage of!
Also, I've only listed this script for sale on 4 webmaster forums - hardly anything drastic at all, and still I've managed to gain a good amount of revenue by selling copies of the script on thosw forums - imagine what you could do if you posted it for sale in many other places!
