Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with Pool's auction service?
I decided to try them for a couple of names.
They make you transfer the domain name over to them in advance. I was a little leery of this, but the rules allow a transfer back to the originating registrar before the 60 day rule expires. ( I did not know of this loophole)

If you have any input on this, I'd sure appreciate it!

Do they pay the fee for transferring the domain back to the registrar?

I seriously doubt that.

What stumps me is they have this method of gaining domains at namescout, but price them for you to leave. They would be smarter to offer low special pricing for pool auction transfer renewals and maybe fewer people would be reluctant to use the auction.

I listed a few in the beginning, and sold 1 out of 4 listed. The one basically paid the listing costs for the 4 and I broke even. I was not impressed. Then they dumped a bunch of namescout or pool trash names in the auction that further diluted the good names that were there.

Thanks.
I have submitted two names, one for a start of $500 and one for $2250.

They are priced a little high- they let you re-list two additional times, so I'll scale back if they don't sell.

I'll report back...

I do not trust pool at all. With the rumors of shill bidding and other nonsense, enom's drop club is my preferred choice
