Is it smart to submit the same names to two of three companies at once? Namerific & BB for example? I have it spread out, I submitted 16 to BB, 10 to Namerific, and 5 to BR. One was rejected off the bat at BR (didn't pass the sound test hehe) Since the latter wants exclusivity from the onset, I'm wondering, especially considering the wait time, should I submit the Namerific names on BB in the interim. Thoughts?

IMO you only should submit your names with the market place you want to list them with. By submitting your names everywhere and then later deciding if you want to list them at the market place or not is the exact reason why some of the sites have a submission backlog and increasingly longer waiting times for us, the sellers.

If you don't want give a market place exclusivity then only submit them with NM. If you are fine with paying a listing fee and the exclusivity requirement then make up your mind and decide if you prefer to list them on BR or BB. Only submit to the one you want to list them with the most. If the name gets rejected you can then submit them to your 2nd choice.

I thought as much. I spread out the submissions and will rotate my submissions should names get rejected. The majority of my submissions are with BB, 27 currently, Namerific 16, and BR, 4. Incredible backlog ensues. On BR, you can see the progress, except it appears it's very slow, in batches of 5 or so. I can see why if it's a recent reg it doesn't matter. By the time it may get chosen, 2 months would have passed!

Update: I wasn't sure how each site worked, how long it would take. It seems most start at BB and work their way down. I submitted 50 names thus far, the majority with BB. After one week I got three accepted on Namerific, two on Brandroot. Awaiting the others. Seems to be a very scattered process, but I'm hopeful. There must be quite a backlog on BR I guess....
