I'm going to write a blog post about the Top 10 mistakes a domain investor can make; if anyone wants to contribute then please make your suggestions below!

They can be anything related to domain names. I'll use the best ones in the article - crediting you, of course.

One of the biggest mistake is not to learn from old mistakes :) And keep repeating it. Like i have invested in aged domains by hoping will get some profit but hard to sell on purchasing price. Also keep buying like there is no tomorrow and pay high on purchasing and same with sale.

Adding random words/numbers to other domains that sold for lots as a single word. Done this a few times when I would register BS and expect roses!

Selling a few LLLL.com too early.
Not going full throttle when I first found domaining in 2003. I didn't revisit again until 2013.

Wow, that's pretty bad.

But I can relate, dropped an excellent CVCV.com. It hasn't sold over 10 years, so that makes me feel a bit better.

In the beginning I was guilty of pricing my names way to high because you see others pricing their domains high, but then you realize those high priced domains never sell.

Being realistic in pricing should be #1 on the list.

Here you go-we own pretty much every "category killer" name in the .moe extension re Insurance-CreditCards etc etc-this is either a major hit or .moe extension is heading for extinction and it's been a big waste of $$$$$.
