Subdomains and SEO

I've got a question about how Google handles subdomain linking.

I own the domain statetravel.us

If I set-up a subdomain for each state in the United States (i.e. texas.stateravel.us) and I provide a link to the other 49 states on each subdomains will that give me an instant 49 backlinks for each subdomain from Google's perspective?

For example, the subdomain idaho.statetravel.us would have links to the other 49 state subdomains.

It will be counted as a backlink but their weightage will be low because they would all be coming from same IP (web host).

There is no advantage to linking to oneself on the same server. I have never heard of Google counting this as a backlink.

it will not count it will be considered an internal link the only links that count for backlinks and pass link juice is outbound links

it's all backlinks for you, but it's better to have or acquire backlinks from different ip addresses and high pr domains.

It doesnt effect much. I have a site with 3 subdomains which has different content related to each other. all have different amount of indexed pages but same PR.

The "weight" of the links will be very low because they're coming from the same IP and because they are subdomains. Anyways... they are still backlinks and can help a little to spread some anchor text around

no, Google will just disregard and won't count much as an IBL's coming from the same IP.

But this is for sure that Google count backlinks even if this is coming from the same IP or web host. I tried myself for my website and after the update of PR when I checked backlins from Google than I saw that few ones are coming from my website as well.

So just go for it and this will be beneficial and there will be no loss as well.
