Stolen images

Hi guys,

I need some help with someone distributing stolen images from me,

all i need is correct whois info so i can call the hosting company and send a C&D to the host (anyone have a good C&D i can copy)??

any correct info for host or customer would be appreicated.

I wouldn't bother dealing with an A$$hole like this. Just keep doing google image searches and shut it down at any host who you find it at as you did on that one.

you are correct after all it is a pointless endevour,

i will just write it of as a loss, find the sites with the images and let the host know.

And look on the brightside, you got another member to your site too. Your site looks great. Keep up the work, and I recomend just continuing to google image search as well and get the sites to get your content off your site, because obviously watermarking won't help haha.

Targeting every site out there that contains "copyrighted" content could take far more time than it's worth; excessive risk of retaliation.

Time is money ... it's probably better to use your time for other things and thus only go after prominent sites that contain numerous pics of yours and overlook the rest.

Also, turn a negative into a positive - don't watermark over entire pics (surfers hate that; makes pics look like utter crap), but DO put your domain name prominently somewhere on them - that way even if they end up on other sites, some surfers will notice your domain name on the pics and visit your site too.

The only thing you can do is watermark your content in the future if you are afraid of this happening again.

Sorry to hear that u have to deal with an inmature creature like the one who stole your site ....

It might be a bit pricey but take a look at http://www.digimarc.com/mypicturemarc/

If your are a designer/photographer/artist u might want to get that.....maybe there is even a open source alternative out in the internet, haven't had a chance to check
