My website was stolen about 1 year ago and I continue to get the run around.

I have finally heard that ICANN can help.

I am having A LOT of trouble finding out where to file this information, can someone point me in the right direction on the website? Thanks.

What was stolen?

Your domain, the content, or both?

1 year? what's your alibi?

even in real life if you lost your credit card or someone stolen it from you, the moment you knew it you need to report to your credit card company. so what's the reason for 1 year delay?
first report it to your domain registrar/reseller, they'll say the same thing to you.

if it's any reseller of gd/wwd they will only honor accidental account changes up to 15 days, without action during these days, they will no longer entertain you.

The change of registrant has been completed by the new registrant and
the information has been recorded in our system.

If for any reason this information is incorrect or you feel this change
of registrant request was made in error, please contact us within 15
days at mailto:[email protected].

Well, its not like I did nothing for the year, I tried with Godaddy, and they gave me the run around for months...then when I was directed to the right place, they said its too long.

Look, I am asking for help, not the third degree from you guys, or to be lectured I know whats up believe me. If you can not help in a constructive way, just click your back button.

Back to the subject, I was told there is not a limit on how long you can wait till you get your domain back. It was ILLEGALLY taken from me.

godaddy only honors 15 days same with it's gd/wwd resellers. yeah i agree with them 1 year is too long.

a good read from godaddy security
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/real_godaddy.asp?app_hdr=&ci=9078

that's for the accidental pushes for the 15 days

If Your password is lost, stolen or otherwise compromised, You shall promptly notify Go Daddy, whereupon Go Daddy shall suspend access to Your Express Email Marketing Services by use of such password and issue a replacement password to You or Your authorized representative. Go Daddy shall not be liable for any loss that You may incur as a result of someone else using Your password or the Express Email Marketing Services, either with or without Your knowledge and/or consent. However, You could be held liable for losses incurred by Go Daddy or another party due to someone else using Your Express Email Marketing Services or password.
