Just found out that Italian Serie A signed an agreement with Sportube.tv for the live stream of 3 matches every weekend.
I can say that in Italy .tv is by far the most used and recognized extension after .it (that is the kin) and .com (that is still used).
What about your countries?

In the UK the biggie is co.uk (even though .uk is also available). This is followed by .com (of course), then .org - and then, if you look at the ads and references around the country, it is .TV



Not really seen too many .eu being used in UK.
