If you think Business.us is the #1 .US sale of all-time you would be wrong.

Thank you and happy domaining to all!

Nice reading, thank you. But I dont think .US will win over .COM in future.

50,000-100,000 is a lot for a .US!

We may see increase in value of the ".US" in the years to come.

I Also blieve the ".COM" has estblished itself among consumers and businesses for years now ( not only in the United States but worldwide) and I don't see big companies spending a lot of money on advertising/marketing campaigns for the ".US"

The ".COM" has become a Consumer & Market driven extension. It's a reality!

Reality is what you make of it, and is largely influenced by how many .COM domains you already have, and thus your vested interests in them, imho.

Hi mole,
I am not sure I understand what you mean!

As you know, the .COM extension has dominated the world of internet and I don't see a lot of new online ventures in the United States choosing .US (as their main online extension) over .COM

I understand that some investors are taking chances/risks of owning/buying .us generic domains but it donesn't, necessarily, mean a significant shift in US companies' marketing strategies towards adopting a local country extension to promote their goods/services and seek exposure online. Just my 2 cents!

I think Mole means that people who feel that .com is the reality are fueled by their own .com portfolios so they have a vested interest in that reality.

Thanks, ty. Couldn't have said it better myself. Today, I have built a relatively balanced spread of all kinds of domain extensions (including a drawerful of.COMs), and to me reality is about having the choice to use each for its intended purpose, and that the 'one size fits all' perception of .COM is just bloated dinosaur thinking, imho.

I think given the evidence so far one has to be bit more generous than that in predicting future prospects of .US.....unless its more like a grudging acceptance rather than an open-minded statement.

Nows a good time to grab .us domains.

After all, their value should increase soon!
