Hi,

Does any of you know of a forum like namepros (with buy and sell sections as well) only for spanish names?

Which of the following is IYO the best name to start a forum like that?

DOMAINSPANISH.COM
NAMESPANISH.COM
NAMESPAIN.COM
SPANAMES.COM
OLEDOMAINS.COM

Just in case... thanks!

I think it would be great to see NP add an international domain sub-forum for this purpose...keep it right at home B-)

I'm sure it would not be difficult to find some good candidates in this forum. BTW, not me.

Shouldn't a domain for spanish names be IN Spanish words? ...or at least translated to English and spanish?

Spanish domain name forums do not well at all.
Just take a look at Sedos spanish forum.

Spanish domaineers dominate english, and this is the langauage where the market is, so why take a 2nd seat when you can get in 1st line.

PS:
I live since 15 years in Spain, and watched this real close, and I came to the conclusion discribed above.
In any case, if somebody needs a mod. drop me a PM.
"dominiovirtual.com" is also for sale PM if interested ;)

I have purchased what I think are some fairly good dropped spanish words to try them out. I haven't really gotten an offer worth considering on any of them. I also haven't seen many reported sales of spanish words.

puertos.info (ports)
aviso.info (warning)
puertas.info (doors)
caballeros.info (horesemen, similar to cowboys)
viejo.info (old)
aeropuertos.info (airports)
losestadosunidos.info (The United States)
losestadosunidos.net
medicaciones.info (medications)

I thought these were pretty good, but have yet to find the market.

Vuelos.com sold for $150,000 on 8/16/05 , plus there was another spanish word sale for $120,000 , $70,000, and more.

Yes, maybe... but I am not sure if I am talking about an english forum about spanish names or just a complete spanish forum...

Juegos.com was sold for near 1 million $ and many other reach the xxx, xxx$. In 2004, 7 of the 10 biggest sales were for spanish names... so well I think we are talking of the only names comparable to english ones (german are not bad as well).

I'd definitely be interested in a Spanish subforum. But I understand if they wouldn't want to put something like that here.

I dont know of any, but it would be nice to get some spanish mods on here like the others said.

A spanish sub-forum would be nice to gather all spanish domains information/sales but that doesn’t mean the language in that forum should be spanish. All spanish users in this forum speak english and not all the owners of spanish domains speak spanish, so I think you should keep english as the main language even if the sub-forum is about domains in another language.

De todos modos, buena idea pertosda. ;)

A Spanish domains subforum would do well if you get spanish speaking mods. There's no need for it to be in spanish. I agree that it should be in english like the rest of the board, but the opinions of those who speak the language would benefit domainers greatly.

Does it mean all mods for this board are English?. :hehe:

Hmm i dont think making a same forum like NP for spanish people would be good i mean what if NP dont agree with it. I seriously think that NP should have all languages. :) just a tought. And the domain i choose is NameSpanish.Com. Hope that helps.

Maybe just a spanish speaking moderator. Somtimes translation between languages doesn't exactly translate the same way. It would be nice to have a spanish point of view if a forum did develop.
