Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

I already sold a domain on Sedo for $20, they did not deduct $20, instead they deduct $3 and i received $17. Your landing page is good, Please consider to reduce minimum buy now price. Thanks Show attachment 292017

How interesting, goes against their own minimums shown on their own graphics.

I have to click SIX times to register a domain.

That is TOO MUCH.

Do something about it.

I don't know if this is the place for posts about Brandstore, but is anyone here using it or had a sale via there? If a sale occurs through Brandstore, is it effectively a sale via Spaceship, ie, same percentage and payout method?

I'm mostly interested because AFAIK Spaceship does not have a (non-custom domain) lander/buy link, but it seems on Brandstore the "Next" button is disabled on lander pages and the only way to make it active is first clicking on the price of the domain, which is completely unintuitive and nonsensical.

Is the site even fully operational yet?

Yet to make a sale on either, I made a thread for Brandstore, not much action from there, so don't expect much.

Thanks for the reply.

Brandstore seems like a ghost town, based on the lack of activity in that thread and the site itself.

Are you also seeing landing pages with a disabled Next button? I tried with Firefox and Chrome but it's so bizarre - even Spaceship doesn't do it - I keep thinking it can't possibly be right.

You have to click "Buy Now" which is a weird thing to have to do. It doesn't look like a button.

The next button should be the only button you have to click.

Exactly. It's all the more bizarre since Spaceship, with similar landers, does it the right way. Thanks for confirming.

I doubt I've lost a sale, and maybe not even had any visitors, but potential buyers seeing an unresponsive "Next" button might just close the tab thinking it's a broken/insecure/fake site, and the most basic rule of selling is make it as easy as possible for someone to blow their money before having second thoughts.

I've posted about this a few times before, most recently: https://www.namepros.com/threads/spaceship-com-marketplace-thread.1356304/post-9524691

See attachments for emails I received from their support in November, admitting that the product is not intended to be used 6 months after being released as a "beta".

Wow, no deals can be purchased or sold through BrandStore yet. Why let us link and upload names then? What's the point other than to waste our time? Unless of course something changed between Nov and today. Which seems unlikely due to posts above.

Thanks, I previously did a search (DDG) for brandstore with site:namepros.com and saw a few posts, but not that one.

I agree with what you wrote. IMO they should either shutter the site permanently and just forget the idea and concentrate on Spaceship or develop in private and only open up when they have a properly working product.

If they can't/won't take orders via it, it's not a production site, it's essentially a demo at best, a dummy site, so why the cosplay with the login/SSO, listing names, descriptions, AI generated logos?

One reason I asked about it, or remembered it existed and thought of trying it, is someone on Twitter recently claimed they made a sale via Brandstore and urged other people to list there to make their names more visible, but it now sounds like 'having a sale via Brandstore' means someone sees it there but can't buy it, and then searches for it and buys it elsewhere?

The Spaceship twitter account also tells people to list there in terms of 'being more visible', but conspicuously not in terms of selling there.

I mean literally anyone could vibe code a thousand websites and list domain names, then ask other people to add more, but what's the point if no sales can even happen.

[new checkout links from Spaceship]
Good news, but it seems just 7 day links, which are fine for outbounded leads but impractical for a developing a domain and having a for sale link.

Hopefully they'll get around to landers under their domain, which are pretty standard almost everywhere.

As a workaround you can use this format

I think I just saw a SpaceShip ad on Stock Twits. It switched ads before I could click on it.
