Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

Does anyone have any feedback re:sales or performance of Brandstore? I really want to like this platform but it feels like not much is being done on that side of the operation yet (not a complaint just curious about the plans for it).

I also want to like these guys, especially as it seems to be a non-exclusive platform and the UX/UI is mostly good, but a domain of mine got automatically blocked and their website doesn't list a single support channel, so it's dead in the water at least for that domain.

Sorry to hear. Are you speaking specifically about Brandstore? (Spaceships brandable marketplace). Spaceship on the whole for me has been a breath of fresh air. Support good too, hope you get it resolved.

Yes, Brandstore specifically, I agree that Spaceship is great and they have some of the best support in the business. BrandStore really does seem like an afterthought on Spaceship's part, it's like they realised they needed a brandable marketplace because everyone else has one, and then just forgot about it.

I just checked it out again and the same domain is still showing as unblocked. As well as the lack of a support channel, other serious bugs are no button to save prices (you have to press enter on the buy now), and no bulk verification option, so you to have do each one manually. I'm going to try and verify my domains one at a time, but how good the rest of the platform is remains to be seen.

It happened to one of mine too.
After contacting SpaceShip Customer service throughout their chat, it turn out that, sometimes, certain domain are automatically blocked by their system if contains certain banned words [ and they fixed the issue in seconds though].
Btw, this happen only submitting the domain directly in BrandStore [ aka: if you submit your domain in BrandStore throughout the Seller hub page in SpaceShip, there shouldn't be any issue ]

Yeah, I suspected as much, but I didn't expect that BrandStore as a completely different site wouldn't have their own support channel and I would go through Spaceship to contact them. Since I didn't want to risk Spaceship automatically replacing my custom landers with Spaceship landers, the only domains I have on my Spaceship are the ones using their landers, which is why it made more sense for me to add my longer list of domains in Brand Store separately.

Right now my feelings are that BrandStore is a ghost marketplace still in developing stage and still flying in a lower level [ near to the ground].
Apart that, I'm pretty confident in this MarketPlace, when it will be fully functional[ don't ask me Why, it's just a gut feelings] with the right tool to promote your domain.

Why do we see so many views of non coms on the stats? They can't be real.

I hope so too, but that's only if they don't mismanage it and treat it like an afterthought, Namecheap needs to make sure to allocate enough resources and employees to it just like they did with Spaceship, and for god's sake have a proper, dedicated support channel. A platform like this needs good marketing to find end users as well as a good support channel to fix bugs and support the sellers, after that the sellers will come. Without those, it's dead in the water.

So has Spaceship added "permanent payment options" yet?

I have been busy and haven't been keeping track, but having to input your payment info over and over and over, each time you want to withdraw money, is not one of those features I'm pleased with.

Very strange and disappointing responses from Spaceship re: BrandStore. Since when does a Beta product mean an unusable one, and why would you release such a product to the public and allow domainers to spend hours listing domains on it if it can't actually be used to sell anything? The more I think about it the more it seems Brandstore, and especially its "Top Deals" section, exists purely as a weird front for promoting some of its employees' own domains. Read screenshots of emails from bottom to top.

Is any one experiencing issues with e-mail notifications?

Previosly all offers notifications arrived in "promotions" folder. Now they appear inconsistently - sometimes in "promotions", sometimes in "Inbox", sometimes THEY DON'T ARRIVE AT ALL.

And more importantly, I've completely stopped receiving email notifications when a buyer sends a message. I only discover these messages after checking SellerHub.

I hope that at least offers are still reaching the SellerHub and the system itself is still working properly. Because others have already mentioned that this month has been unusally quiet. And I've noticed the same thing.

Using seller hub for some weeks, except a very few problems at some names to verify i am impressed
from this platform, futuristic, clean landers, good exposure.
Made 5 sales (non com, avr $500), procedure was some minutes only, pushed the names and received funds

For those who want to list big portfolios, the easy way is to export the lists from registrars, then using a text editor like editplus can replace tab, comma or new line depending on export file with ,minimumoffer, bin,on and bulk list, of course as price is same for all then need to change pricing in chunks or one by one

As I understand it Spaceship doesn't have a marketplace apart from BrandStore, which can't actually be used for sales yet, so what exposure are you referring to? All I can see that Spaceship currently offers for sellers is the lander, marketing and actually selling the names is still on the seller. Or are you saying you really did zero listing/marketing/awareness for the domains you sold via Spaceship?
