Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
On lander the payment methods icons are colorless and looks unprofessional !!
It is recommended to be colorful same the original as below screenshots example, It will give more trust and credibility .

I hope you pointed out this helpful tip to Sedo, too [ if you have any domain parked there, of course], as the situation is the same in their selling pages.

Overall, should be pretty quick within minutes.
Unfortunately, it looks like the price-sync mechanism has stopped working entirely.

Despite the SellerHub dashboard reflecting my updated prices correctly, Namecheap is no longer showing the price changes I made through CSV (yesterday). And even manual price adjustments I made in SellerHub today, failed to propagate to Namecheap.

let sedo first implement camel casing, then we will think to advise them.

There was a syncing issues indeed. The team has fixed the root cause and the pricing should sync shortly.

Priority should really be letting Namecheap buyers checkout at Namecheap. That registration path is your most valuable asset. Right now you are forced to create an account at Spaceship but there is a workaround ....

If you type RANDOMDOMAIN.COM into Namecheap it will force you to buy the domain at SPACESHIP.
But if you type RANDOMDOMAIN.NET (or a different extension), the name appears in the list below so you can ADD TO CART at Namecheap and proceed to checkout.

Which means you may as well just let them check out at Namecheap in the first place obviously.

No, the names you can add to cart are still the syndicated names from SEDO or Afternic. The rollout of delisting them is still in progress. You probably see that this add-to-cart name is a little cheaper than the Spaceship Marketplace name...

Oh that's even worse, so there really is no way at all to fast checkout at Namecheap. Got it. :xf.rolleyes:

(* I'm being blunt because it's such a terrible design decision and I want the Spaceship marketplace to succeed and get as many sales as possible)

External domains ownership verified and already listed "without using the lander" .
But why still showing ''Product needs DNS configuration'' !!??

Also External domain verified and listed and using spaceship lander and still showing ''Product needs DNS configuration'' !!!?

Your system needs to be more stable. There's currently some slowness and a lot of errors. You need to address these issues quickly. People have chosen you, and if they're not happy with it, they might leave.

You say you're focusing on LTO, but ordering through Namecheap is much more important. Domain name additions and deletions are very slow. These are serious issues.

If we have to switch back to Afternic, it would be a disaster for you.

The nameserver information for all my domains (3300) has been on Spaceship for two weeks. My first impression is that you're very slow in developing them. You need to find a solution.

@Marina Savina The SellerHub CSV processing is unusually slow at the moment. I've been waiting over 45 minutes, and it's still not completed.

A lot of people, myself included, are rooting for Spaceship's success. The market needs a strong contender to the arrogant and tech-weak GoDaddy.

All need Spaceship to be stable and functional. Others have other strong wish list items such as LTO. Personally, I need the ability to deep link to sales landers without using Spaceship NS.

@Marina Savina

The lander font size for the domain's Buy Now price seems too big compared to the 'Buy Now' text next to it which is smaller. For psychological reasons showing price in big font size may not be a good idea. I remember GoDaddy was doing tests about this in their search path. Perhaps the 'Buy Now' text should be bigger and the Buy Now price font/text size reduced.

I also agree with @Springs77 about the added friction for buyers by forcing them to leave Namecheap and create a Spaceship account in order to buy a domain name. If a buyer searches for a name through Namecheap search, the first option for the buyer should always be being able to checkout on the website they searched for the domain on. Hopefully this is changed soon as I'm sure the current way hinders some sales from happening.

HI @Garet ,

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but currently we can link to sales landers without using Spaceship NS by using A and CNAME records.

Thank you, @E. Silvera. I'm using Giant Panda's parking and would like to be able to link to Spaceship sales landers from those parked pages. I do not believe that Spaceship is supporting deep links yet to sales landers.

We had a load spike on spaceship yesterday and to affected the domain related operations processing time. Should be good by now, please let me know if it's not. love4ever potentially aplicable to your case as well, if you still see it and have no other spaceship products connected to those domains, please share the domain with me, I will check with the team.

@Marina Savina Even for external domains not using Spaceship's nameservers, there's a "For Sale Page > Visibility On/Off" setting. What function does this serve, and is it relevant if the domain isn't pointed to a Spaceship sales lander?

From my experience and with Marina's confirmation - this is strictly for using the landers. If you are not using their NS you can set this to off and still show in the reg path
