Spaceship.com recently launched a new Marketplace section, and as NamePros has given me the go-head, I think the company deserves its own thread for NP domain marketplace users to converse in.

https://www.spaceship.com/sellerhub/

Personally speaking, I will be setting up a new Spaceship.com account this weekend and going to work investigating its various features, options and policies.

It's hardly a coincidence that the deal is being announced on the very day HTTPS and LTO are the hot topics here in this thread. Just saying.

Now we can safely ask for ANYTHING! The Spaceship team has been working hard all along but now they will be swimming in both cash and adrenaline. This is a historic deal!

Absolutely. With just a little imagination, they could snap up @GoDaddy's flawed lander solution and kill it on the spot.

Yeah, but will new ownership change things for the worse, like when GD bought Dan? Hope not.

Richard confirmed that the deal includes both Namecheap AND Spaceship. He remains on board and this is EXACTLY what a strategic acquisition should look like.

Sure, it's great for CVC, but not for NC/SS customers over the long-term.

With a greedy buyout firm like CVC you really have two possible outcomes: 1) higher prices to spike revenues/profits or 2) reselling their acquisition to someone else (*cough* GoDaddy *cough*) for a profit.

Naturally there will be a period of (negotiated) quiet with Richard still onboard, but long-term, CVC will soon be able to do whatever they want with NC/SS and I doubt any of it will be good for its customers. It never is.

@Marina Savina @Spaceship

For domains using spaceship landers it would be great if you add to the Traffic/Visitors stats the "AVERAGE TIME SPENT " , similar to atom stats .

As the terms were not disclosed, anything goes. But I would not worry about it to the extent when DAN was sold to GoDaddy โ€” that was a buyout to shut down. Same with Uniregistry. This case is completely different: A strategic acquisition to expand existing products and as Richard remains on-board that's exactly what matters.

@Marina Savina @Spaceship

Please give us some sorting ability in SellerHub when viewing our domains.

By Name, By Price, By Min Offer, By Installment. PLEASE.

We are so limited in how to view when all we can sort is by "date added"

Thank you. :xf.smile:(y)๐Ÿ™:xf.smile:

am I the only one missing the renewal price in the domain manager (or even the seller hub) screen? I know you can click on a domain and see it on the drawer, but would be extra handy if it would be added as a sortable column

Since you open this 3D, @Spaceship did much more and basically they have two Marketplace right now:
BrandStore.com is the Marketplace for brandable domains linked to Spaceship, where you can list your brandable domain, personalize your selling page with your logo or an AI generated one, describe your domain, tag it etc.

Now @Marina Savina, this is a pure lovely gem but it's hidden inside every user account:

I casually find it doing a bulk action in my Seller Hub, I asked Alf what the BrandStore option standed for and I set up my BS account in less than 2'

BrandBucket, and Atom WLM have a serious competitor right now but you should valorize your treasure a little bit more IMHO :)

Hello. For what purpose do already sold domains still remain on the "Domains" tab and are not moved to the "Sold" tab? Because of this, they keep showing up when I apply a filter - for example, when I search for domains with For Sale page โ†’ Off. Then already sold domains appear there, which are no longer mine and which I cannot change anyway. I think this is not logical, and this filter should not display already sold domains:

Bulk search has been added, you can add up to 10k domains into search field to get them filtered.

Thanks @Miver , Brandstore is in early beta thus we hold on on the comms. Once ready, you'll hear about it in all channels. :)

Have there really been any updates since the stats?

I feel like so many of the most basic asks like exportable CSV, sorting, seeing more than 3 domains, and several others I've seen repeated and confirmed they will be happening are taking a good bit of time.

Then LTO has been being worked on for quite a while now, which I can understand some time compared to the things above, but is it really 2+ months post-release of a development process? No clue how much time was spent already prior to launch.

Not complaining and fully support Spaceship, which I have proved by moving my portfolio over, but is there at least a Sellerhub roadmap we can see for some of these things? Now that I am fully onboarded the features are feeling a bit more important day by day.

I feel like copy pasting Dan's features/capabilities with Spaceships design/UX then tweaking from there was the surefire, absolutely can't miss, way to go about this tbh. People are pleading for a DAN replacement/how much they miss it across every domaining platform and medium still 3 years removed. In case any Spaceship engineers/devs are reading. Cheers

We have added the nearest sellerhub features to https://www.spaceship.com/roadmap/. The team will be adding more. I also encourage everyone to leave feedback and vote for the items you want to see faster there.

How long do we have to wait for Bulk LTO? This has been a really long time!

It's coming really soon. This is the main focus for the team now.

Feel free to reach out to me and other heavy users privately before launch. Once the LTO fields in the CSV are defined, changing the format later will be difficult. It needs to be right from the start.

I've pointed out since 2 months ago that it's absurd to have deprived Spaceship (registrar) users from adding "in bulk" domains to the SellerHub. I mean real bulk add, where you get to pick domains from their check boxes, or even the entire portfolio. I don't use SellerHub to that capacity because of this reason, but it's not the sole reason.

Reason 2: Provide us with a pair of nameservers that are used for SellerHub only. They can be aliases of the spaceship .net DNS but the FQDN must not match those used for hosting or URL forwarding services. Why is this necessary? To filter those domains. That's the ideal solution. Perfecting this solution is the option to filter domains in the Manager that are listed for sale via the SellerHub. Again, another reason that I cannot commit 2,000+ domains to SellerHub right now.

I know Richard has seen this and maybe it's not a priority but it's a necessity for me, and others, in order to properly engage with the platform.

This has been mentioned somewhere. Non com extension have way too many views on stats. Can this be fixed somehow, it's meaningless to see stats that mean nothing..

Hi!

Are you referring to Search views or Page views? Page views are normal so far in my case. As for Search views on Namecheap for strong keywords in non-com extensions, I find them useful to gauge the registration intent and consider acquiring strongest TLDs. Or even for pricing what I already have.

Just a personal opinion.
