Thanks for your comment. I do know that the Soviet Union was disbanded in 1991 ;)

To be honest, I don't see any potential there.

I think it was worth the reg fee

Even if Soviet Union still alive they will be against it of the internet. This domain doesn't worth it any penny even reg fee. :imho:

I can see this domain name developed in black and white :)

It is not what we, as individual comrades, think of this domain name, but what the collective union of soviet socialist republics decides! :)

this is a no-brainer at non premium Reg Fee. You will not get rich off it but it is a fun collector name - either for a small "nostalgic" site or an more advanced archive site or a small markup resale to someone that cares more about the previous two items.

as long as this is not done with a particularly obvious payoff in mind, it is a nice reg.

Saw this one a while back and did not reg....but then I did not think outside the box.

IMHO, this is not a geo reg, as Antonis pointed out, this is a history reg, and at reg fee has plenty of upside potential.

In fact, SovietUnion.TV may yet turn out to be a current affairs reg, with Prime Minister Putin currently the No 1 suspect behind the pulonium radiological poisoning of ex russian spy Litvinenko, who died last week in England.

With 50 nurses and carers whom treated Litvinenko being isolated right now with traces of radiation as well as three airplanes...the ramifications of this saga are still unfolding.....

Good reg Dammitsam......

On a personal note, check out THESECRET.TV - well worth the $4.99 to watch the documentary........

Cheers

it's a great domain if you do something with it. The cold war has not ended and Putin being set-up is a perfect example of that.

Excellent historical document (Tv) archive reg, IMO. The Soviet Union filmed much of what they were about for propaganda purposes. Much of the footage is public domain. Recently I saw some Soviet "scientific" animal experiment films at archive.org. Of course there is also tons of Western footage on the Soviets... though copyrighted, "fair use" permits use for documentary purposes.
