I just received the following email from [email protected]:
___________________________________________________________
Sorry to bother you, however I would like to ask if the LLLLL.com (I edited out the domain) domain name is for sale.
If we can agree upon a price, I can make payment securely and quickly via
Escrow.com.

Could you let us know what price you would consider?
Thank you greatly for your time. I anticipate your response.

Sincerely,

Sonet Holding

This sounds like the appraisal scam where the buyer asks you to have the domain appraised with a certain provider, and then you never hear from them again. I couldn't say for sure, but if they insist on an appraisal and recommend or insist on a vendor, you can be fairly sure it is a scam. I guess they are connected to the appraisal service in some way.

If you want to sell the domain, ask for a fair price and see what happens! They may be for real, but it pays to be careful these days. The ones I got always seemed to have a PhD title or something impressive in the senders title.

Good Luck!
