Hi,

I would appreciate some opinions and appraisals on these LN.com domains.

Ñ0.com
Ñ4.com
Ñ5.com
Ñ6.com
Ñ7.com
Ñ8.com
Ñ9.com

The Ñ unlike Á É and Ó is an actual letter in the Spanish alphabet.

I predict that in the future, governments and schools in Spanish speaking countries will be under pressure to preserve the correct spellings of words containing Ñ and áccented letters that are being undermined by the English alphabet keyboard.

For this reason alone I consider these domains to be a sound investment for the future.

Other LN.com's are obviously highly treasured domains, even though they don't spell a word or give any indication to what the website might contain so from a development point of view, I don't see the difference between somebody building a site called N6.com or Ñ6.com.

In fact Ñ could be considered more memorable than the other 26 letters of the alphabet.

Rep. available for any interesting insight or information.

Thanx

These aren't completely in the US alphabet? That'll hurt but seeing as they are short and .com, you still might see a decent return from these.

N6 would be easier to type on a standard English keyboard. THAT'S the difference.

Thanx Archangel for your views. Rep added.

I accept the point that English speaking users are not familiar with the Ñ and it has been many years since I have seen or used an English keyboard so I don't know where the Ñ appears on the keyboard interface.

However there are 23 Spanish speaking nations and over 800 Million Spanish Speaking people in the world, and as the 27th letter of the Spanish alphabet Ñ is very important.

I see 2 problems. I see Archangel's concern being a problem, as those using an English keyboard may as well see those names as IDNs because they can't directly type out Ñ (but can copy/paste like I just did :)). Then, even when you get into Spanish speakers, I don't believe there are any Spanish words that START with Ñ. So it's hard to gage value of the name to a Spanish speaker because there is no English equivalent scenario. Usually in a 2-3 char non-word name, you want the letters to be short for something, and you can't really do that with Ñ. The names are surely worth SOMETHING for sheer rarity sake, but I don't think you're looking anywhere close to an English LN.com name. Good luck though.

They are definitely nice and short, but there is a big difference between N6.com and Ñ6.com. People all around the world are familiar with 'N' and can type it on a standard keyboard, but thats not the case with Ñ. Keep in mind that I'm an American and can only speak English, so I'm not as well informed as others may be, but I do not see much value in any IDNs.

short, and some keyboards have the spanish en-ye on their keyboard but you need altcodes on most keyboards, and my laptop can't do them (hence me spelling en-ye out phonetcally) good luck!

Thank you everybody for your input. Rep added.

Here in Venezuela and I guess the rest of Latin America, the Ñ appears on the keyboard next to the L, and I always use the Ñ when I´m writing a word that contains the letter.

Point taken that not many words begin with the letter Ñ. My dictionary contains 27 words beggining with Ñ.

Hopefully in time they will rise in value, there are only 520 other LN.com's & NL.com's.

Wow...I wasn't aware there were any beginning with Ñ. Are any of those good and/or often-used words? If so, you might have a bit more hope for getting a decent sale.

Most of the words beggining with Ñ are birds, animals and trees, but there is also Ñano/a often used for a very close friend, Ñoñor which I think is an insult for a stupid person, Ñaque which is like bits and pieces or odds and ends, and the best is probably Ñoñeria again for stupid or childish.
