First I wanted to say thanks to all those active .TV forum posters! If it wasnt for all of the great information abundantly available I could not find great names as easily! I wanted to share my findings and opinion. I am only about 4 months into .tv and have bought about 20. I have been thinking alot about what sells in the .tv extension. As Equity78 was saying in his thread: some like adding *****TV.TV, some want *******Channel.tv and some llike alaska.tv straight. After reading many a post and viewing 100's of developed sites I think the most potential is in the ******Channel.tv Considering BusinessChannel.tv was sold @ $10,000 that is a hefty sum. Everyone posting about the ******Channel.tv way of thinking, but I have not seen anyone posting about statechannel.tv names. I see many people buy into the Channel concept but no one is buying names like AlaskaChannel.tv - I did! I see alot of people are buying smaller niche market names like CitynameChannel.tv - I think that is really difficult, there are 100s of big cities, there are only 50 states, making StateChannel.tv names alot rarer, not to mention you can corner the entire market of a whole state. In all of my research I have found News Stations generally own the .Com extensions. I wanted to break this to my fellow .tv forum posters- there are many StateChannel.Tv names still available. At least one of them is developed and opening this January:

www.OregonChannel.tv

These are the ones that have been taken.

Taken:
NewYork
Oregon
California
Hawaii
Florida
Montana
Oklahoma
NewHampshire
Illinois
New Jersey

My recent pick ups:
TexasChannel.tv
WashingtonChannel.tv
NevadaChannel.tv
ArizonaChannel.tv
AlaskaChannel.tv
HonoluluHawaii.tv
RenoNevada.tv
AtlantaGeorgia.tv

I did not check too many of the real small states, but the ones above are definately taken. If you guys register any I would appreciate some rep points! Be sure to check out CityState.tv names as I have found some nice ones too. Thanks to all of the great people here for inspiring me to spend my money!

I thought about this for awhile, not sure if it will take off or not, but I do like the channelme push that is coming.

But obviosuly the first choice is the State name itself, or perhaps the abbreviation itself. ie NJ.tv then NewJersey.tv

After much deliberation I decided to take NJChannel.tv and NewJerseyChannel.tv

I saw that AlabamaChannel.tv was available, but didn't take it.

Hopefully these will be good reges.

Thanks for the post!
