In July 07 I started a domainers blog with the aim of sharing what I had learned about domaining. There are two things about the site that are a concern to me.

The first is that it gets no more than 50 - 70 visitors per week, according to the logs and some of these might be bots and my visits.

Secondly, I thought the revenue would be higher - at this rate I will be lucky to earn, each year, more than the price of a pizza.

I stared the blog with the intention of catering for the needs of UK domainers but from the beginning it became clear that I was getting visitors from all over the world and I have been trying to cater to that world wide market ever since.

I would guess that with consistent posting twice a week, as I do at present, I will experience only modest increases in traffic and income over the next year or so. And I might have to live with that.

However, it would be nice to know what I am doing badly as well as what I am doing well amd any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

1) for a more accurate picture of your traffic, try using statcounter.com. it doesn't include bot traffic and you can also block hits that are coming from your computer. if you aren't promoting your site at all, then most of these "visitors" are probably bot/you.

2) what revenue streams do you think will be the main source of income from your blog?

3) in any case, blogs are most successful when they have consistent quality content, and some sort of network built around it. i'd suggest you keep writing and focus on quality, and also build relationships with other bloggers and "share" some traffic that way (ie, under "blogroll").

Well, from my point of you the main problem of your blog (concerning design) is that it has NO face at all! The first thing I thought when i entered your sight was something like "Hmm...where is it parked? Looks nice..." The content should be clear and divided from each other. Your blog looks totally merged. Try to improve it, may be things will go up?
About income. You should remember that there are many big domaining blogs, and it is rather hard to drain traffic from them. First - build a brand, then - reap the fruits!
Good luck!
