Review my webdesign blog.

Hi

I've been working quite some time now on my webdesign blog. And have had around 2500 unique visitors the past week.

And I think it's time for a review of my website

Goowik comes from : goo(gle) + wik(ipedia)

If it would be possible, I would like a review of the design (header, menu, color, ...) and also about how the articles are written.
I try to keep a regular scheme of 1 article per 2 days.

And as you may have noticed my mother language isn't English. So if you find any spelling mistakes, do tell me . I spell check every article in word and wordpress to be sure no mistakes are made, but you never know.

Hey, I really like the design alot! It's very clean and and professional looking. The post's look good too but I thought with some of the post's the dark background did not suit the images in the post. Keep it up though! Goodluck with it.

I like it in general but I'm having a hard time reading some of the text. The font is so thin it doesn't really pop against all that black.

Also, it's minor, but look at how your site name displays on a tab in Firefox Goowik DesigN (minor, but that capital N caught my eye)

Also, in your logo online, it looks to me like Goowic not Goowik - from a branding standpoint that last letter should be clearer.

the header is not distinguishable from the background, actually i don't know where the header starts.

the menu items are also weak, it gets lost in the black background.

make it times new roman for the body so it will be easy on the eyes.

Well didn't upgrade yet, casue I dont know if my addons will be compatible with teh newer version. It's also my first blog So need to be careful

I'll try to use javascript or something to load the logo first.
I'm also busy with making the 'K' clearer

I don't really understand the "distinguishable from the background" part.
I will make the menu clearer and try out the times new roman font this night.

I think I know what he means by not distinguishable from your background. The thing is, you have put your borders all the way up to the top of the header. These borders basically constrain your design. However, by making the header background black, the borders don't seem to fit in place anymore.

What you should do is play with that pure black colour. Something lighter to not make it so open.

Looks like a nice blog.

However I noticed a problem with your tag cloud, it pokes itself out of the actual layout. Also you have an extremely large space of blank on the left side.
