What was the name if you don't mind sharing
Sigh… I’m honestly embarrassed to say this. I bought the domain for $130 and sold it on Sedo for $150. After their commission, I was supposed to receive $127.50.

Now Sedo has shorted me another $37 — and that’s exactly why I’m so angry about this.

Once this matter is resolved, I will publicly reveal the domain name.

Sedo is not the company it used to be. They don't reply to queries, they refused my LLLL.com name
in the auction because I put GBP99 as a starting bid, and they said it was too high. They also state that they are unable to verify me as the owner! I bought this domain in 2005 from a GoDaddy close-out sale. I sold more domains when Dan.com was independent, not part of GoDaddy/Afternic. There is no integrity left!!!

That happened to me too, but not with Sedo specifically but Afternic. It's usually because Sedo doesn't send the payment directly. They use a third-party remittance service, and those services can take a fee before the money reaches your bank.

Exactly and naturally a place like Sedo takes the lowest bidder for their 'bank transfer' contract, who then steals their actual fees from Sedo customers.

It's a common scam, like UPS international shipments being very cheap for US sellers, but in order to gain back those losses, they absolutely ream out the customer with a massive bill featuring a laundry list of spurious charges.

I received money from Sedo directly into my bank account today.

Sedo used their IBAN at DRESDEFF (COMMERZBANK AG).

Letting the little things swallow your life-time and life-energy vs focusing on things that can make the biggest difference. Research, read the ToS, lift the prices and btw lower your expectations - flipping vs investing.

Kind regards

I don't know anything more draining to your life-energy than reading terms of services.
Hi

yeah, most don’t want to read them…
they’d rather ask here on the forums

imo….

Did you check under "Billing" in your account? They always issue me an invoice or payment note that details the sale price, commission fee etc. Sedo may well have paid you the correct amount and the shortage is from some kind of bank transfer fee.

Just as an aside, Sedo has all kinds of names for those invoices: Payment note, Credit note, Invoice....no idea what the difference is, might be a difference on their end but it is all the same on my end.

How did it turn out? Was it caused by bank charges, after all?
