I sell a doamin in sedo ,Sale Price: 150.00 USD Sedo's Commission: - 22.50 USD Net amount to be credited: 127.50 USD
Sedo should pay me 127.50 USD,but they only pay 89.96USD, short 37.54USD , Sedo stole my Money.
Dose anyone has same problem?
Probably because of VAT added.

Edit: see later posting; it turned out to be Sedo's minimum fee of $60 for this transaction.

No,not VAT,I contacted Sedo support, and they told me that the fee was deducted by my receiving bank. However, I checked with my receiving bank, and they confirmed that they actually received only $89.96 and did not deduct any fees. Banks do not lie, so it’s clear that someone from Sedo is not telling the truth.

Banks often charge for converting currency from USD to your local currency. Could you check if you see a separate mention somewhere?

The problem is that we cannot view your specific Sedo transaction or your bank account.

I am currently waiting for Sedo’s latest response. If Sedo fails to provide a clear explanation, I will disclose all related information publicly.

According to Sedo's published price list, Category 1 TLDs incur a flat minimum $60 commission (exclusive of taxes) when sold via external transfer, not the 10–20% sliding scale. Subtracting that $60 minimum from your $150 sale price leaves $90—precisely the ~$89.96 you received.

Thanks for the additional information @NameSeek.

So it seems that according to Sedo's Price List, the commission should be $60 for your sale.

However, you're right, that's not what they're stating in your screenshot.

I'm out of options. Only Sedo's support team can resolve this in detail, so please reach out to them directly for further assistance.

Do let us know the outcome. Good luck.

That happened to me too, but not with Sedo specifically but Afternic. It's usually because Sedo doesn't send the payment directly. They use a third-party remittance service, and those services can take a fee before the money reaches your bank.

I think they have a minimum fee they charge. What was the domain name sold?

This is the reply I received from Sedo today:

"Hello, thank you for your message. Your bank requires the use of intermediary banks when receiving USD payments, and the related fees are your responsibility. We appreciate your understanding."

I believe Sedo is not telling the truth. I have experience in international payments — for transfers of around $300,000 to $400,000, the fee is usually just $25. No bank would charge a $37.54 fee on a $127.50 payment.

I will continue communicating with Sedo, but if they maintain this attitude, I will have to take further action.

@NameSeek It is noteworthy that it is exactly the amount of $60 that is stated in the price list. You can point that out to Sedo. It remains strange that there is a discrepancy between what is stated in Sedo's price list and what is stated in your transaction.

I believe Sedo's support has been lying from the very beginning. At first, they claimed the fees were deducted by the receiving bank. After I informed them that my bank did not deduct any fees, they changed their explanation and said the fees were taken by intermediary banks.

I asked them to provide the payment proof, but they still haven't sent it. It's clear that something is wrong with Sedo.
