Hi,

I got a guy willing to pay $100 (already his best offer) but I feel this domain has some very good branding potential for a hotel search engine or similar.

FWIW it got rejected at Brandbucket a few months ago which surprised me, am I just overvaluing the brand potential of this one?

And FWIW #2 L'Oreal used to own the Trademark until 2005 but abandoned it, so they must have seen something in the name at some point.

Really torn, would be great to get some more opinions here, as I got a bunch of similar brandables that need renewal soon I don't want much clutter in my life lol. Take the money or trust my gut and hold on to it?

Thanks
Toni

"Soft Stay" sounds like it could be some product like a hair gel or glue or something novel like that. If there is a "magic" product like that out there, your domain could be worth A LOT of money to someone for branding purposes, say an easy $8,000+. So, don't take a laughable $100 offer which hardly covers your costs, and wait for the right offer to come along.

Thank you I appreciate your input! :) I own around 100 brandable 2 word .com's domains with similar potential so I am trying to make sure I got the best possible portfolio in such a difficult market as the brand-able one is, 100 names = $1000 renewal a year so this sale would carry 10 renewals of potentially better names at higher expected ROIs (names that made it into Brandbucket should be my main renewal focus, unfortunately this name got rejected by "branding experts"). This brand-able domain batch I regged a few months ago hasn't actually cost me any money yet (long story) so $100 is a decent ROI and when or if someone will want this domain again no-one can say, unfortunately so far interest in my brand names have been almost non existent and I don't think I will reg anymore in the near future, $8k would be amazing obviously but chance of this happening? Probably pretty low... What do others think? Hold on to it, sell?

That's the thing with brandable domain names, when you sell, you need to sell high, otherwise the model does not work.

Hello!

I think brandables are the hardest to appraise, because there is no keyword search volume to give an idea of the demand. This is a short name, hence easy to remember. The words are positive and go well together. I would say mid to high $xxx.

Best of luck!
