Hi all, i just have a few thoughts that i'd want to trade with you.

I'm the owner of some domains. Some marketing-directed, others for Internet/ISP issues, others for p0rn.

All my life i've been hearing : " Sex Sells " .. Does it ? In the webvertising world ?

One of my domains (gigahosting.net) was parked @ sedo.com a few months ago. I didn't get loads of clicks but when i did , i remember they were 2$ hits, even with a low CTR .

Now my only parked domain is clit-me.com , and adult website @ sedo.com also.
Well, the stats are :

Parking was up at 0.00 GMT July,31st.

In these first 42 hours i got.

160 unique views, of which 72 ads were clicked, making an excellent CTR of 47%. Well , for a normal website this is gold.

But for porn .. don't think so. CPC is about 6 cents , so with all these good stats i made in the first day 3$ and till now only 2$ today.

Can you share your thougths !?

adult domains do well at parkingpanel.com

although I have seen the CPC fluctuate on a daily basis. Some days I get 20 cents a click and other days only 5... But the CTR is very good compared to other parking providers.

you.... I am sure you have heard how google lowers the click amount as the traffic goes up.."smart price".well the parking companies have a variation of that game i know that from stats from last month ...they lowered clicks at parking panel at the same site from 18 to 17 to 16 to 14 last i looked it was .09.they punish you the more traffic you have.this happened in one 10 day period .the best is spread out sporatic hits then they seem to like it .sometimes they will pay you a cut of sign ups that can be $1.8 or more.

My adult clicks at Sedo are usually above $0.10 each. I use 'adult portal' as keyword or something similar. Perhaps the origin of traffic is deemed to be 'inferior' hence the lower CPC.

Sedo often leaves me thoughtless. I sincerely feel you should try out Parking Panel as Fagend mentioned. The CTR may be a bit low due to the 2 click landers. But if you have the right keywords, you will definitely see better than 3-6 cents CPC. If you decide to move your domains to PP, just pm me for some keywords.

How many adult domains should you have at parking panel to get descent amount of Clicks. In addition what other types of domain that gets high CTR at parking panel?

Yeah true, but then you have to contend with vendors/merchants who may try to "minus out" your affiliate earnings by not crediting you for some sales.

This does happen, but its not discussed very often.

I think the bottom line for now is that PPC is still better for most marketing efforts, for the most part - although it's only pennies a time.

I'm not promoting here but my aff has been in business for a long time already, one of the biggest out there and has been converting for me pretty well. I have this 1 domain that brings in 150-200 visitors per month yet it closes 1-2 sales monthly... that's $110-$220 rev. Before it was on Sedo and it only earned something around $5/month.

affiliate marketing is difficult, but i guess it must be like real life, 2 people selling the same product one sells lots of it and the other don't sell anything, something is wrong or just the first person have the right technique and aptitude. In any case that's my opinion.
