If you backorder at snap have you been getting alot of these emails over the last day or two, I'v had about 16 since yesterday.

---------

Good news! (thedomainhere.com) has become available for immediate purchase at SnapNames.

Please note that this is not an auction, but is offered on a first come, first serve basis at a fixed 'Buy It Now' price.

(thedomainhere.com)

Please click on the domain name above to go to SnapNames to purchase the domain name, or go to www.snapnames.com and search for the domain name directly.

As a courtesy, we have removed your pre-order on this name as it is now available. Since the name is offered for immediate purchase, you should act quickly to ensure you acquire the domain name.

Due to potential high demand by other interested parties, SnapNames cannot guarantee that the name will be for sale for long. In the event it is already sold, the domain name will not appear as available when clicking on the link above.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

I got a couple in last 24 hours. Are you sure you didn't backorder these domains in the past?

As far as I can tell it "appears" that we are now working for Name.com but don't expect to get paid for all your hard work, time, expertise and research ;)

All 16 of the names I recieved the email for were domains that were put up for pre-release and then dissapeared into the land of whois privacy just before the actual drop date.

These have now reappeared on snapnames a few days later for sale with fixed prices from around 2k up to $14,252 for veteran.net.

They are all now owned by the registrar Name.com

Basically, we do all the hard word identifying the decent domains, place our bids at snapnames, then someone from name.com sees that these domains have some or many bids against them so just before the auction date arrives they cherry pick all the best ones then put them back up for auction on snapnames with fixed prices.

While it is no secret that registrars warehouse domains what I do find f****** annoying is that we are helping them do so, what a waste of our time.

"If" the likes of snapnames/namejet went back to the older model of NOT SHOWING how many bids have been placed on pre-release names it would be a "slightly" fairer playing field.

What's you thoughts on the above ?

I just received more of these. Is there a way to opt out of this spam?

I was wondering what was going on. This is nothing but SPAM. Shameful really.
